amaran officially announced the amaran Mic, a wireless desktop microphone that brings the brand into audio for creators worldwide. The solution is designed for livestreaming, podcasting, and everyday video creation from a desk and serves to simplify the process of capturing studio-quality audio in creators’ workspaces.
It features built-in AI noise reduction and wireless recording. amaran said the new Mic marks a major expansion of the amaran ecosystem, advancing the brand beyond lighting to support more of the content creation workflow.
The launch of the new mic follows the introduction of purpose-built desktop lighting with the Verge series. The company said the new solution applies the same creator-first priorities of simple operation, flexible placement, and polished results without added complexity. amaran said that the mix serves as a natural companion to existing amaran desktop setups while creating a new entry point for streamers, podcasters, gamers, educators, remote professionals and everyday creators unfamiliar with the brand.
The amaran mic is powered by a 30mm dynamic capsule that captures rich, natural audio. It also features a supercardioid pickup pattern that puts voices front and center, focusing on the sound in front of the microphone while dialing back sound from the sides. It also includes a 86dB signal-to-noise ratio, support for sound pressure levels up to 130dB and a built-in automatic limiter.
Noise reduction runs directly inside the amaran Mic. Creators can choose Original Sound for natural, unprocessed capture, Standard Noise Reduction for light cleanup of steady background sounds or AI Noise Reduction for deeper cleanup of unpredictable distractions. The company said six layers of noise reduction across acoustic suppression, physical protection and built-in processing work to minimize unwanted noise.
Highlights of the amaran mic include Stable 2.4GHz wireless transmission, USB-C connectivity and up to 60 hours of battery life. The microphone allows for key adjustments directly on the microphone itself. The amaran Desktop App allows creators to tailor their tone with EQ presets and custom curves, and further refine their sound with Vocal Enhancement, Noise Gate, Limiter and more.
The amaran Mic Desktop Stand Kit is now available for purchase from local authorized dealers or directly through amaran’s official online stores. The amaran Mic Low-Profile Boom Arm Kit and standalone amaran Low-Profile Boom Arm will begin shipping in Q4 2026.
