Hi everyone! Me again, back in your inboxes. This time, we have an blog from Bill Thrasher all about how managed AV is becoming an enterprise standard. He says this process keeps AV from being “something that just happens,” or a bunch of separate pieces and steps that don’t really fit together. With a managed AV model, he says this process leads to clear ownership and sharpened decision-making. To me, this aligns well with what I’ve heard about many educational institutions shifting from CapEx to OpEx models for most expenditures. What do you think? Read the piece here.
Also, don’t miss the news! We have our full list of Best of ISE 2026 winners, Audinate’s new Dante Director Professional model, a projector cart from Epson and all the details on Almo Pro AV’s upcoming E4 Experience in D.C. next week.
Enjoy! |

As higher education evolves, many institutions are rethinking how classrooms are designed and used. While traditional lecture-style spaces still dominate many campuses, there’s growing demand for environments that can support multiple teaching styles, hybrid participation and collaborative learning. For AV teams, integrators and manufacturers, the challenge is figuring out what “flexibility” actually means in practice and which technologies make it possible. This month’s Temperature Check looks at how the industry is approaching adaptable learning spaces and the AV tools helping classrooms respond to changing needs.
