Latest headlines: Tom Kehr on wired microphones, plus news from PK Sound, Sony, Sennheiser and more
I quite enjoyed Tom Kehr’s most recent column. In “Nothing Beats a Wire,” he writes about some of the good things about using a wired mic. In city council chambers, houses of worship, etc., sometimes you just don’t need all that. What I mean (I’m paraphrasing Tom here) is that if you don’t have to fight the frequency band wars and the other battle (replacing batteries) … maybe don’t? A good, wired mic and a long cable go a long way. (HAHA I’m very funny don’t forget that.)
