Hello, #AVtweeps, and happy weekend. I hope you are all getting some relaxing in before we hit the ground running next week. Me? I’m warming up to give you my best performance yet for our last SYNNEX COLLABSolv LAVNCH event of the year Dec. 2! On Top Tech Day, you can count on us and SYNNEX to talk about all the collaboration tech that have really made a mark this year. It’s sure to be a good time! And it’s your last chance of 2020 to join us. Register here.
In this month’s newsletter, we’re keeping it short, sweet and to the point. The four episodes of Rants & rAVes I have to offer you are great, fun and give perspective about where the industry is right now. We keep talking about the change, but where is it? The change lies in the Sharp/NEC joint venture. What does that mean for the manufacturers and their customers? The change also lies in other merger news — Resideo’s acquisition of Herman ProAV. Is this good news for the industry? How are these companies all leveraging one another’s strengths to push forward? (These are rhetorical questions; you don’t have to answer me if you don’t want to.)
Another episode below discusses the Barix IP Former. This product turns any distributed audio speaker into an IP speaker — and Gary speaks to Barix CEO Reto Brader about why exactly this is super useful right now and in general.
Finally, check out the episode about the Almo E4v Encore Week. There are CTS RUs to be gotten and prizes to be won! Give it a click to find out how you could take home a 4K TV.
I hope you all enjoy this short but fantastic November newsletter. I’ll speak to you all in December — we’re almost there!
P.S. By the next issue I’ll have a fun little announcement to make — so keep an eye out!
