CEDIA announced the creation of a new Design & Build Outreach department and appointed Andrea Harvey as director.
The company said the creation of the department is a strategic move to strengthen connections between smart home professionals and the broader design and construction community.
Harvey has more than 20 years of experience spanning interior design, construction and manufacturing partnerships. CEDIA said her role will focus on building relationships with architects, designers, and builders, while helping CEDIA members grow their businesses through increased collaboration and adoption of integrated technology in residential projects.
The new department will include initiatives such as releasing regional editions of Technology Meets Design – The Best of Professional Smart Home Style, partnerships with NKBA, ASID and RIBA and design and build activations.
