Clear-Com has released EHX v14, the latest software update for its Eclipse HX digital matrix intercom systems. The update introduces SIP integration via the IPA card, increasing SIP capacity and flexibility within Eclipse HX systems. This addition allows users to connect a broad range of SIP-enabled devices, streamlining communication across SIP and intercom platforms.
EHX v14 also adds redundancy using the SMPTE 2022-7 protocol, ensuring uninterrupted operation when integrating with third-party Audio over IP (AoIP) devices. This feature enhances reliability by maintaining critical audio pathways, even when working with non-Clear-Com AoIP systems. The update supports more resilient and interoperable communication for complex productions, reducing the risk of downtime.
