Epson Debuts 4K Laser Home Theater Projector Using Laser Array

Epson just debuted the Home Cinema LS11000 4K PRO-UHD Laser Projector, using a laser array light source and a new precision shift glass plate technology. The Home Cinema LS11000 has a 1,200,000:1 contrast ratio and 2,500 lumens of brightness. Epson says it can project 4K HDR at 120 frames per second with input lag spec’d at below 20 milliseconds. The projector also includes a new Epson cinema lense, which utilizes a “proprietary multi-element precision glass structure” that the company says allows for zero light leakage, excellent image clarity and edge-to-edge focus uniformity.

Additional features include:

• Digitally-controlled precision shift glass plate refracts pixel light to display a 3840×2160 image
  
• True multi-array laser diodes
  
• 2,500 lumens brightness
  
• 3LCD technology uses three individual LCD chips to continuously display 100 percent of the RGB color signal for every frame
  
• Full 10-bit HDR color processing that can reproduce HDR, HDR10+ and HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) content
  
• Refresh rates up to 120 Hz
  
• A New Epson Cinema Lens – Designed for zero light leakage, the Epson Cinema Lens utilizes a proprietary multi-element precision glass structure for  image clarity and edge-to-edge focus uniformity
  
• Three-way motorized lens can shift the lens up to +/- 96 percent horizontally and up to +/- 47 percent vertically
  
• HDMI 2.1 that supports the full 48 Gbps bandwidth for accepting uncompressed 4K HDR content up to 120 Hz, along with ARC and eARC support
