Jabra Introduces Perform Plus and Perform 55 for Retail Communications

Jabra Perform 55

Jabra announced Jabra Perform Plus and Jabra Perform 55, an integrated retail communication and device fleet management solution designed for multi-shift retail environments.

Jabra Perform Plus provides IT and operations teams with a centralized platform for deploying, configuring, securing and managing shared headset fleets across multiple retail locations. The platform supports remote firmware updates, configuration management, compliance checks and device performance monitoring, reducing the need for on-site IT support.

Perform Plus will initially support the new Jabra Perform 55 headset, with support for additional Jabra Perform devices planned.

The Jabra Perform 55 is an over-the-head retail headset designed to give store associates access to colleagues, managers and information through push-to-talk and voice-based workflows. According to Jabra, its microphones block 99% of background noise to support communication in busy retail environments.

The headset is compatible with push-to-talk platforms including Zebra Workcloud Sync, Zello and Zoom. It also features an IP54-rated design for protection against dust and spills and provides up to 20 hours of talk time or 50 hours of push-to-talk use. A 10-minute fast charge provides up to 10 hours of talk time or 25 hours of push-to-talk time.

Jabra Perform 55 includes a Face2Face mode that automatically mutes calls and audio when the headset’s boom arm is raised, allowing associates to speak directly with customers. One-touch pairing with Android devices is designed to simplify setup when headsets are shared between shifts.

The headset is TCO Certified, Generation 10, and includes a replaceable battery and ear cushions, support for firmware updates and recyclable packaging.

Jabra says Perform 55 and Perform Plus are also designed to support future voice-enabled AI workflows as retailers expand their use of AI-based tools.

The company is also introducing the Jabra Perform 5-Bay Universal Charging Base for shared-device environments. The base can charge and organize five compatible Jabra Perform headsets and uses a click-in, click-out design intended to simplify headset handoffs between shifts.

“Retailers are under pressure to keep store associates connected while making growing technology deployments easier for IT to manage across locations,” said Andrew Doyle, vice president for Frontline Solutions at Jabra. “With Jabra Perform Plus and Jabra Perform 55, we are bringing together the retail communication endpoint and platform behind it for scalable, voice-led store communication.”

Jabra Perform 55 joins the Perform 10 and Perform 45 SE in the company’s retail communication portfolio.

Jabra Perform Plus provides a single platform for deploying, configuring, securing, updating and monitoring Jabra Perform headsets across locations. Features include firmware updates and rollback, compliance checks, real-time reporting and analytics, role-based access and audit trails. The platform also includes the Jabra Perform Plus Mobile App and supports integration with existing IT systems through single sign-on and APIs.

The Jabra Perform 55 is available now for $229.99 MSRP, while the Jabra Perform 5-Bay Universal Charging Base is available for $249.99 MSRP. Jabra Perform Plus is scheduled to become available as an early access version in the fourth quarter of 2026, with additional functionality planned following its initial release.
