NEC launches the next generation of laser projectors for large venues with flagship model of PX series
Munich, 27 January, 2016 – NEC Display Solutions Europe has launched the PX803UL projector, which delivers the benefits of laser light source alongside professional installation features ideal for large venues and rental and staging, higher education, museums, large corporates and for signage applications.
Scenarios in which total cost of ownership and maintenance are crucial are set to benefit from the new PX series projector thanks to the laser light source, the unique sealing technology and integrated liquid cooling system. Solid State Light source (SSL) technology means the PX803UL requires no lamp replacement, removes filter costs and eliminates the need for time-consuming installation and maintenance, therefore offering a low total cost of ownership during the lifetime of the projector. It offers a more constant light output and a typical lifetime of 20,000 hours, while maintaining a consistent level of outstanding image quality. Efficiency is also gained by its low power consumption.
The PX803UL also offers easy installation, with a selection of wide zoom bayonet lenses, an optional ultra-short throw lens, and the option to use third party lenses. The lens options also enable customised installations and easy upgrade of projectors that are already installed. Additional flexibility is made possible due to the option to install in any direction.
Large venues, rental and staging companies and higher education verticals that all rely on dependable superior quality, will also benefit from the 4K signal support, professional digital cinema quality picture and internal 4K high bandwidth picture processing for high quality pictures.
Gerd Kaiser, Senior Product Line Manager Large Venue Projectors at NEC Display Solutions Europe, comments: “Laser is the projector light source of the future. Low total cost of ownership is crucial to many sectors where installation projectors are used in large venues. Investments need to be efficient in the long run, and low maintenance and adaptability of devices are crucial in achieving this. Laser is the light source that can deliver on this and ensure those benefits whilst guaranteeing high quality pictures.”
In addition to flexibility benefits, viewing large presentations is made more easy due the input options, including OPS, HDMI-out and the edge-blending capability, and efficient cost savings can be made by managing all NEC devices from one tool – the NaViSet Administrator 2 software.
The NEC PX803UL laser projector will be showcased at the NEC Display Solutions booth 4-R24 at the ISE trade fair in Amsterdam, and commercially available from February 2016 onwards.
