rAVe [TV] Transcript — Episode 255: AI Ethics, AV Security and the Push to Simplify Workplace Tech

Gary Kayye (00:01.984)
Okay.

Steph Beckett (01:03.215)
Hello? Hi everyone. Welcome to rAVe [TV] Gary was here and then his picture was here and I don’t know where he went. He’s back. Hey Gary.

Gary Kayye (01:18.334)
I don’t know what happened there.

Gary Kayye (01:22.77)
Are we on live? I don’t know what happened there. I tried to share something on my screen and it locked up the whole system. think. Well, I don’t know. Emily goes, Nope, Nope. I saw, I heard it was Nope. And it was, couldn’t unshare it. And I was locked up, but all I heard of the backgrounds are producer going Nope, Nope, Nope.

Steph Beckett (01:24.045)
I think so.

Steph Beckett (01:31.373)
It didn’t like that. It didn’t like that at all.

Steph Beckett (01:47.631)
Yeah, we’re a really smooth operation here on rAVe [TV] We are.

Gary Kayye (01:51.902)
Well, if we are live, if we are live, this is a rave TV, the industry’s only live TV show that comes on every week, every Wednesday morning, 9 a.m. Eastern. And that of course means 3 p.m. in Europe, 5 or 2 p.m. in the UK. And then of course we restream at noon so that the rest of the world can see this live as well.

Steph Beckett (02:14.997)
Yes, because the folks in California, I don’t think they totally love getting want to get up at 6 a.m. to see us. I mean, why wouldn’t they? But we we re-stream it.

Gary Kayye (02:23.326)
Yeah, actually it’s interesting. I actually met somebody at ISE who came up to me and said, I listen to you every Wednesday morning while working out. And I was like, oh, that’s cool. I was like, you know, I said, you’re lucky to be able to work out that way. He goes, no, no, no, I’m from California. I’m working out at six in the morning. So, uh, yeah, that was kind of cool.

Steph Beckett (02:34.329)
That’s so nice.

Steph Beckett (02:41.071)
That’s so nice. Do you think someone’s just running on the treadmill?

Gary Kayye (02:48.542)
I think he was, if I remember correctly, I think he rides his bike. He rides like a Peloton or something like that. And he watches our, so if you’re watching that, shout out to Peloton guy.

Steph Beckett (02:52.242)
okay.

Steph Beckett (02:55.703)
Okay.

Okay, well we gotta be like, we gotta shout out Peloton. We gotta have some more energy so he can like get his heart rate up. Like we gotta be vivacious this morning.

Gary Kayye (03:07.539)
Yeah.

Gary Kayye (03:11.186)
Yep. Yeah, that’s true.

Steph Beckett (03:13.699)
Gary, you, well, the thing you were trying to share was you ran the race at Disney last weekend. How did that go?

Gary Kayye (03:20.55)
Yeah, that was my kind of like comeback race from my surgery last summer. That’s my first like major race, but yeah, I ran the Disney half marathon. and, yeah, it really

Steph Beckett (03:25.453)
Yeah, that’s awesome.

Steph Beckett (03:32.675)
That’s awesome, Gary. know that you were like, I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to do it again, but I knew that you would. Good job. That’s awesome. I didn’t do anything. I went to a dance party over the weekend at Motorco. No, like you’ve never been to Motorco? Like the bar that’s like kind of car themed and it’s like also a concert venue.

Gary Kayye (03:40.552)
Thank you. Thank you.

Gary Kayye (03:49.778)
Like middle school dance? What does that mean? Who has a dance party?

Gary Kayye (03:59.676)
okay, okay.

Steph Beckett (04:00.463)
It’s in Durham and they do like themed dance parties for adults. And it was like the show Heated Rivalry themed. You know that show? Heated Rivalry. It’s like gay hockey players. Oh, well it’s a great show, highly recommend. It’s on HBO. It was on Crave, is a Canadian streaming, but HBO bought it.

Gary Kayye (04:11.612)
What show? Never heard of that.

Never heard of it. What is it on? What network?

Gary Kayye (04:27.467)
okay.

Steph Beckett (04:29.313)
It’s big, I’m sure all your students know about it. Heated rivalry. Do show of hands.

Gary Kayye (04:32.134)
What’s it called again? I’ll ask him. He did rivalry. Yeah, raise your hand if you’re watching He Did Rivalry.

Steph Beckett (04:42.927)
Yes. And then I went and saw a pillion over the weekend too, which is… It’s it’s Alexander Skarsgard, you know him? He’s so fine. And it’s like, it’s like a gay love story movie.

Gary Kayye (04:48.35)
I’ve not heard of that either. What is that?

Gary Kayye (04:54.96)
Yeah, yeah, I love him.

Gary Kayye (05:03.024)
Is he that he wrote it or he’s the star?

Steph Beckett (05:05.325)
He produced it and is also one of the stars. And yeah, that is a beautiful man. I would just like to say, let the record show.

Gary Kayye (05:08.283)
Okay. Is it good?

Gary Kayye (05:14.748)
That’s too much information. That’s too much information stuff. Speaking of which, we know this is awards season. Yeah, so all the good movies won’t get awards and all the very average movies will win all the awards.

Steph Beckett (05:19.503)
Alright.

Yeah.

Steph Beckett (05:28.111)
Which movies do you think are going to get awards then? Which average movies do you think?

Gary Kayye (05:33.779)
I mean that you know that movie with It’s either gonna be well first off You know it’s gonna be Leonardo DiCaprio’s movie

Steph Beckett (05:46.049)
the what is it called? Like it keeps getting worse or something. Yeah.

Gary Kayye (05:49.071)
Yeah, I can’t remember. But I mean, that’ll win because Hollywood deemed it as the best movie of the year. And then Sinners will come in second. I mean, again, I think it’s good. I definitely don’t think it’s the best movie of the year.

Steph Beckett (05:56.035)
Wait, I liked centers though, did you not?

Steph Beckett (06:03.597)
What do you think is the best movie of the year?

Gary Kayye (06:06.152)
I mean, there’s so, I mean, it’s a question. This year, I don’t think there were a lot of good movies, so you could make the argument that those movies might’ve been the best movies, but there were, know, there were, what bothers me is that, you know, the kind of movies that are very popular tend to get overlooked because they’re very popular. And, you know, and also they all tend to pick the same stuff.

Steph Beckett (06:14.851)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

Steph Beckett (06:28.975)
Okay.

Gary Kayye (06:36.126)
You know what I mean? you know, I would hate to be the last, I guess the Oscars technically is the last award show because by the time it gets to the Oscars, you know who’s going to win because it’s already been predetermined by all the other award shows. Um, you know, I told you about that, that movie that’s, you know, that’s all, that’s all about the, 1976, 77 kidnapping of the banker. think man on wire. Yeah. Like that.

Steph Beckett (06:36.131)
Mm-hmm.

Steph Beckett (07:02.539)
Yes, you did tell me about that.

Gary Kayye (07:05.33)
that had the best dialogue. It had to have a huge script because it’s just two guys talking to each other most of the time. And it was, you know, it was only shot in one place inside of a set that looks like the guy’s apartment for the most part. And that has a star scarred in it too, by the way. You know, there’s like 12 of them, but yeah, the little one. The guy who’s not 6’8″, yeah. But, and like, that was definitely better than those two movies.

Steph Beckett (07:20.323)
Which one? it’s like, it’s like the little one. It’s like the little scar. Yeah.

Steph Beckett (07:34.796)
Yeah, okay.

Gary Kayye (07:34.822)
but you know, I, know, the interesting thing about the Leonardo Capron movie, the best character was Sean Penn. Like Sean Penn was, he was, mean, it’s a, it’s a travesty if he doesn’t win the Academy award for best supporting actor or best, you know, honestly could get best actor because he had such a large role in it. but he won’t probably because, you know, they’ll give it to some, some, you know, movie that 800 people saw.

Steph Beckett (07:45.517)
It’s Sean Penn though.

Steph Beckett (07:51.139)
He’s great.

Gary Kayye (08:04.862)
But anyway, we’ll see.

Steph Beckett (08:06.063)
I don’t know. Yeah, I don’t know. I’ve been kind of unimpressed with the movies that I’ve seen in the past year, at least like the ones that have come out in theaters. Like I pulled up my letter box to check and see like the last thing I gave five stars to, barely anything this year.

Gary Kayye (08:24.83)
Yeah, the move, it’s definitely 2025 was not a good year so far. 2026 is not a great year.

Steph Beckett (08:29.847)
that’s a lie. I gave Frankenstein four and a half stars. Did you see that on Netflix? it’s really beautifully done.

Gary Kayye (08:34.982)
I have not. I have not. But if it was only on Netflix, it can’t qualify for anything.

Steph Beckett (08:40.937)
it was it had a limited release, Gary. Don’t you worry about a thing. I highly recommend.

Gary Kayye (08:42.982)
Yeah, okay, there you go. There you go. Did you, by the way, speaking of which, did you see Apple’s announcement last week? That they’re gonna be like, they’re gonna try to become the biggest content producer in the world. They’re gonna come out with a new series show every week. And they’re gonna come out with, think they said at least one movie a month, but a new series every single week. So they’re gonna become a big network.

Steph Beckett (08:51.086)
No.

Steph Beckett (09:02.979)
But

Steph Beckett (09:09.823)
That’s rough though, because Prime tried to do that and then they bit off more than they could chew and so they like canceled half of the things.

Gary Kayye (09:19.058)
Well, so here’s the difference. Prime is owned by an advertising company, Amazon. Basically Amazon’s like a catalog where you pay to be in the catalog and then people buy your stuff. Apple’s a tech company that is very creative. Like it’s driven by creativity. I wouldn’t say Amazon is known as being driven by creativity. And so I think that Apple has a better shot at picking that off. Whereas Amazon is just trying to create lots of content.

Apple, think is, you know, they’re shooting for high quality, but also quantity. They’ve been doing high quality for a while. Like they’ve, ever since Apple TV plus debuted, they’ve been doing high quality, but they only release, you know, they’ve been releasing like five to eight series a year. But now they’re going to do like 50. So, you know, they’re going to amp up the quantity. And if they keep the same quality, they’re going to be like a powerhouse. And by the way, no better time to do this because you have HBO, which you and I both love.

Steph Beckett (10:03.874)
Mm-hmm.

Gary Kayye (10:17.692)
being swallowed up by Paramount as part of the deal with Paramount buying Warner Brothers. So you have this consolidation going, Apple can differentiate themselves and become the third network now.

Steph Beckett (10:17.719)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.

Steph Beckett (10:29.187)
I’m also kind of glad that these companies are kind of becoming one because I’m tired of paying for 18 streaming services. No, that’s true.

Gary Kayye (10:36.75)
if you think we’re going to pay less money, good luck with that. that is, trust me, they’re not consolidating to save you money. They might say that, but that’s.

Steph Beckett (10:44.107)
No, that’s true. I’m gonna pay the same thing, but it’s just one service now. Ugh, that’s so annoying.

Gary Kayye (10:49.65)
Yeah, maybe. We’ll see what happens. mean, they say they’re going to keep it separate, but I don’t.

Steph Beckett (10:54.893)
What if we just all take a stand and we say, and we’re, we’re all going back to spectrum.

Gary Kayye (10:57.752)
We can all go back to cable TV. But the problem with that is you have to watch TV at 9 o’clock when something comes on at 9 o’clock. with today, the convenience factor is the main thing, right? You get this convenience to be able to wherever you want to watch, whenever you want to watch. So you have to pay for that. Yeah.

Steph Beckett (11:10.99)
Yeah.

Steph Beckett (11:15.651)
Back in my day, we had to wait 8 p.m. on a Friday before I could watch Camp Rock on Disney Channel.

Gary Kayye (11:19.622)
I mean, same thing’s going to happen with internet service. Right now we kind of like, we have internet service, we go to hotel, we get internet service, you pay a little fee, you go at home, you have internet and you’re paying a fee. The same thing’s about to happen with Starlink. Starlink, you know, the next iPhone, next, you saw the Samsung phone they just introduced, integrated Starlink. You won’t have to have an AT &T Verizon account, but you use Starlink.

Steph Beckett (11:30.969)
Mm-hmm.

Steph Beckett (11:38.222)
Hmm.

Gary Kayye (11:48.326)
And you’re going to have this ability to use it in your house too, right? So you’re gonna be like, well, this will save me money. But in reality, you know, they’ll be able to offer services. So you’ll end up paying for Starlink, but all these services around it, that’ll end up costing you more money because you’re like, this is awesome. We get all these services. So 10 years from now, you’d be like, I remember the day when I just had to pay for three internet services and you know, everything like that, right? Everything kind of evolves. But anyway, we, we got to stop talking to each other and talk to this.

Steph Beckett (12:10.111)
Yeah. Oh, wow. That’s true. That’s true. I know.

Gary Kayye (12:17.896)
to the customers as well. I know you have your temperature check survey and it’s all about AI this month.

Steph Beckett (12:25.167)
Yes, it is. It’s about AI and like the ethics behind AI. So I am just curious how the industry is feeling. There have been a few comments on a few past like launch events that I had that someone was like, well, I’m really worried about like the ethics, the transparency, the data privacy behind it. So it’s three questions. Please go answer it on ravepubs.com before I close it. And we’re giving away two $50 Amazon gift cards to two respondents. So even more reason.

for you to answer it.

Gary Kayye (12:56.006)
Yeah, and we can’t do this show without our sponsors in the bottom right hand corner. You see sure as one of our sponsors and they introduced at ISE just a month ago the Intellimix bar pro, which is a four camera video bar. So check out this piece on the tele mix video bar.

Gary Kayye (13:45.918)
And that product was popular. know, the video bar market is very crowded and what ends up happening when you have a market that’s really crowded is at some point in time, you stop to take stock.

Steph Beckett (13:51.255)
It is.

Gary Kayye (13:58.948)
on what everyone has and you reset. So I think we’re now at a point where people are gonna reset and they’re gonna sort of gravitate towards companies. Like if you’re buying a video bar from just a company that only does video bars and it’s the only thing you’re buying from them, I think you’re at risk, that company is. think Shure is in an interesting, unique position because they also sell live events microphones, they also sell speakers for install, they also sell the next two.

Steph Beckett (14:16.505)
Mmm.

Steph Beckett (14:24.333)
Yeah. Yeah.

Gary Kayye (14:28.902)
and four and six and eight wireless, or next two, four, eight wireless mic systems. So they’re in a good shape. think we’re gonna see more consolidation in our market and that’s gonna create some shakeups for lack of a better term.

Steph Beckett (14:44.559)
Yeah, I agree. don’t know. Did you see Mark Coxon’s latest piece that he wrote on rave pubs? He was like, he didn’t go to ISE, but he wrote like a roundup of products that stood out to him. And he was like, never did I think in the year of 2026 that I would be doing like my favorite products and they’d be video bars. And I was like, yeah.

Gary Kayye (15:02.782)
Yeah, I mean, yeah, yeah, that’s that’s that’s actually true. And at ISE, one of the things that that Stefan and I both saw was Epson’s new ELPCS01. OK, which is a they now have their own SKU for a portable projector card. It’s mobile. It moves around. It uses the 815. I think it is projector. The

Steph Beckett (15:19.523)
Mm-hmm.

Steph Beckett (15:27.375)
I think the 810.

Gary Kayye (15:28.414)
They 10 E okay use they 10 E which is a 3 LCD 4k capable projector But it’s you push it up against the wall so from I think I want to say 18 inches it can generate 110 or 115 inch image But what’s nice about is you can move it around and put that image on a wall wherever you want to be and you don’t have to worry about putting up a screen because it can color correct for the color temperature to the wall and Yeah, I think you know they’ve had a product like this

working with some of the salamander designs and some of the other furniture companies, but now they have their own pre-packaged skewed product. education, this is a no-brainer because this compared to the price of an LED or the same size LCD, which would be dangerous to wheel around because the thing, it fell on somebody would really injure them. This is an easy sell. Now, of course,

Steph Beckett (16:18.979)
Yeah.

Gary Kayye (16:25.522)
projectors are very limited, right? mean, like it’s a limited market opportunity and Epson’s dominating in that category.

Steph Beckett (16:33.709)
They are, they are. But I was thinking like the first thing that came to mind when I saw that this cart was available now was like your classroom that you helped design at UNC like because students like to, they form their desks in different ways. Like sometimes it’s four of them sitting in a group. Sometimes it’s a bunch of people sitting in a row. And so like, because there’s no front of room in that classroom, like it would be nice to have like a mobile projection option.

Gary Kayye (16:42.46)
Yep.

Gary Kayye (17:00.038)
Yeah, and by the way, Epson now does AirPlay, game changer. Because you may not be a Mac user, you may be a PC user, you might be a Windows professional, but the whole educational system is Mac based and students, anyone under the age of 30,

Steph Beckett (17:05.484)
Yeah.

Gary Kayye (17:21.864)
grew up using a Macintosh. So the business world is going to have to change. We all think, no, no, no, we’re gonna stay with Windows. Yes, and that will continue to age up because the younger people are not gonna go into the workplace and say, I’m perfectly fine using a Windows-based computer. So that’s gonna change and that’s a game changer there for compatibility and simplicity to connect, right? Because you don’t wanna have a bunch of wires hanging out

Steph Beckett (17:45.391)
It’s true.

Steph Beckett (17:51.575)
Yeah, it’s true.

Gary Kayye (17:51.94)
But and did you see it at ISE the A10? The new 16 by 8 modular video wall processor that they had the okay. Yeah that that product we got a great story on that that’s sort of like a It’s sort of like a Less expensive video wall processor we put up lots of images simultaneously, but it’s a matrix as well And it it actually has a you know, they actually have a larger version of this already stuff. I don’t know

Steph Beckett (18:00.631)
Yes.

Gary Kayye (18:21.792)
if you knew that or not, the 36 by 20 version of it. So this is like the smaller version. What’s that? Correct, this one’s 16 by eight. So it’s in the same family. It’s the VW 1608. It’s not small, it’s in a four U.

Steph Beckett (18:24.207)
Okay. And this one is 16 by 8, right? This one’s 16 by 8? Yeah.

Gary Kayye (18:39.582)
enclosure but it has 16 sources. You can daisy chain them together to get more inputs and outputs. So you can expand it up to 24 displays. So for like you know large events where you’re putting content all over the place or if you have a like I think less video wall kind of applications and more putting content wherever you want to go kind of applications is the future of these video wall processors.

Steph Beckett (19:02.479)
Yeah, I could definitely see that. New organization, new nonprofit alert, it’s called AV Trust. They just went live, I think last week. And this is all about advancing cybersecurity and commercial AV. So just another example of how AV and security are getting closer and closer. This is exciting because I think that in terms of

our industry, cybersecurity is still a little bit of a lawless land. And this is kind of about improving those cybersecurity practices across like UC, across ProAV, because like it seems like every week we hear about a new breach. And I think this is aimed at stopping that.

Gary Kayye (19:53.342)
Yeah, I saw the announcement come across and you know, all of our devices are now on the internet. So we’re going to have to get more serious about it. We don’t want to end up being the one that has a hole. Yep.

Steph Beckett (20:02.647)
Everybody’s stuff is in the cloud. Yeah, so you you need to secure your password can’t be password anymore. My guys like we gotta we gotta do something we gotta.

Gary Kayye (20:10.11)
Let’s hope it’s not. Let’s hope it’s not. Hey, you, you, you talked to Brad last week about the auto measure feature, that has on the, you know, the what’s called, auto measure and what it is. check out this video from our sponsor Crestron.

Steph Beckett (20:17.964)
Yes!

Gary Kayye (21:35.334)
Alrighty, we are back.

Steph Beckett (21:37.357)
Yes. So let’s talk about AWOL Vision for a second. I think it’s so interesting. Like this company has its product like through a Kickstarter campaign, which I think is really cool. So they announced a couple of new accessories for its ultra short throw projectors, which are for the home. And Gary, how do you say this word? I’ve that F word. F R E S N E L. How do you say that? For now.

Gary Kayye (22:04.094)
It’s a type of lensing technology. It allows you to throw light in a specific direction. the way it works is through a Fresnel lens. If you have light in the room, light is coming from above. So you angle the lens such that the light doesn’t get reflected back out but gets absorbed, right?

Steph Beckett (22:25.08)
Okay.

Gary Kayye (22:25.82)
that creates a, that makes it where you don’t see ambient light affecting the image because the ambient light is being reflected in different direction.

Steph Beckett (22:33.611)
Yes, I’ve seen so many people pronounce that in all of our product videos from ISE. Yes. But yes, I’ve seen them pronounce it 18 different ways. So I was like, I need to know what the right way to say this is before I say this.

Gary Kayye (22:38.054)
I mean, Fresnel, but Fresnel, but it’s Fresnel. Yeah. Yeah.

Gary Kayye (22:48.939)
Yeah. What’s unique here is that that technology was always very expensive and they’re introducing a cheap version of it.

Steph Beckett (22:57.303)
Yes, and they also announced a vanish TV cabinet which basically allows it the entire projection screen to go into the cabinet when you’re not using it, which is very cool. So definitely check it out.

Gary Kayye (23:09.286)
Again, another cart kind of product that you can move around to.

Steph Beckett (23:12.239)
Yes, the cabinet is about $3,500. The 150 inch version is about $5,000. So definitely go and check it out. Their Kickstarter page runs through, I think April 1st. So check them out. They’re a cool company.

Gary Kayye (23:22.718)
Thank you.

Gary Kayye (23:30.046)
All right, so Plexus AV announced that four of its AV over IP processors have been approved for IPMX certification. have to go through a certificate. know, IPMX is, Steph, just a reminder, IPMX is the industry’s only AV over IP certification. Doesn’t mean everyone’s going to use it, right? I mean, we have lots of certifications. We have lots of standards that people don’t use, right? You know, a lot of car manufacturers use different

routing systems for their entertainment systems even though there’s a standard. So Plexus AV is committed to the IPMX standard and they come from the broadcast industry so it makes sense that they would get the certification on all their products.

Steph Beckett (24:13.38)
Yes.

Steph Beckett (24:17.411)
Yes, which is exciting. And this ISE was the ISE in which Ames like formally recognized IPMX as a standard. So that was really exciting. And I’m excited to see like where it goes next, you know?

Gary Kayye (24:29.245)
Yeah.

Steph Beckett (24:31.851)
So next up, CDIA, the association announced its CDIA Connect Education Program, which is, it’s in-person, it’s designed to bring its CDIA certification training to different member regions around. So it’s three days and it’s interactive learning, group activities, practical discussion.

And then it ends with an exam for those who want to participate. And it was designed in collaboration with ADI and it is hosted by ADI facilities across the US. So I think it’s just aimed at giving more people access to that CDIA training and access to that exam.

Gary Kayye (25:17.764)
Excellent. Well, ViewSonic introduced, as you know, Steph, a new pre-configured all-in-one LED. Obviously, a lot of people know ViewSonic, but don’t realize that they make a lot more than desktop monitors and foldable LEDs. They have a whole series of all-in-ones, depending on which technology you want to use. So check out this new one they introduced at ISE, right before ISE.

Gary Kayye (27:12.978)
Hey, you know that House of Worship has to address a lot of different kind of applications. And everything has to be wireless because you can’t just mount stuff wherever you want it be mounted in a church, right? And have people that need assistive listening, but also people who want to amplify what they’re doing. Music, the minister, all the different kind of applications. And RFVenue provides the wireless antenna technology that probably

Steph Beckett (27:18.735)
Hmm.

Steph Beckett (27:27.311)
Yeah.

Gary Kayye (27:41.672)
they probably have a 90 % market share in that category and they just unveiled a new house of worship program and if you’re in that segment of the market it’s designed specifically around everyone that does house of worship and all the issues surrounding it education wise and certification wise you know it keeps up with all the new technology and wireless frequency so we’ve got a story on that on our website check it out at Raypubs.com

Steph Beckett (28:10.031)
Perfect. And we talked about the video bar renaissance earlier that we’re kind of having and Alphatron Electronics announced a new video bar the other day. This is the VB100 video sound bar for the medium sized meeting room. So it’s all in one, of course, designed for, like I said, those medium sized meeting rooms. It’s got a 4K camera, mic array, loud speaker, 120 degree field of view.

Gary Kayye (28:14.59)
Mm-hmm.

Steph Beckett (28:38.697)
And it’s got all of those features that a lot of them have now the face tracking so that it captures the meeting participants clearly and making sure everyone stays visible and engaged during all video conferences. So it’s very interesting. And the micro ray, I think the voice pickup is from up to five meters away. So very interesting. We have so many video bars on the market right now.

Gary Kayye (29:03.774)
Yeah, I bet if you googled VB 100 a lot of stuff would come up too by the way, that’s Yeah, well, I I think it’s a part number like they’re gonna have to come up with a brand for it to get noticed but But anyways a our producer was able to grab that picture of me after the race. Do you want to look at it? Yeah, I’m all sweaty and gross but yeah

Steph Beckett (29:08.621)
You don’t think that that was a good product name?

Steph Beckett (29:19.375)
Great. Yeah.

Steph Beckett (29:26.797)
No, look at you! You look so happy!

Gary Kayye (29:29.372)
I was happy. was, time wasn’t so great, but I finished and, you know, considering I had surgery eight months ago, I’m in pretty good shape for that.

Steph Beckett (29:37.911)
No, I think that that’s awesome. Wait, I love that the metal is tangled too. Like the, like tangled, like Rapunzel. You never seen that Disney movie? I’ve told you that that’s my favorite Disney movie. It’s so good. Okay, you’ll have to watch it.

Gary Kayye (29:43.558)
Is that what it is? I don’t know. Yeah, I have no idea what that is, but okay. I have not.

There you go. Well, there you go. All right, look, if you’re going to Infocom, you should use our code, our code, which is easy to remember. RAVE26. Let me think, how should, the 26 might be the hard part to remember. How could we get them to remember 26? Like, let’s come up with a way. Here’s one way, two, right? Plus two plus two is six, so 26. That’s one way you could remember 26, right? And then you could also go like,

Steph Beckett (29:58.651)
R code.

Steph Beckett (30:02.285)
Yeah. Yeah.

Well, it’s the year.

Steph Beckett (30:12.526)
It’s this year.

Steph Beckett (30:19.672)
Or just…

Gary Kayye (30:21.278)
like two to the third power, no that would not be, that would be two times four times four would be 16, I think that would be 16. I feel like it would be six, I say we gotta ask Chad to be, this might be too hard for people to remember, the two six, why couldn’t we not have done that, like we didn’t have the two six on the end of it, it might have been easier to remember.

Steph Beckett (30:24.783)
2 to the 3rd power isn’t… is that not 8? No it’s not, I actually don’t know. No, it’s 8, right? Isn’t 2 to the 3rd power 8?

Steph Beckett (30:38.297)
God, I haven’t done exponents in years.

Well, okay, 2-6, it’s what year it is? 2026.

Gary Kayye (30:50.503)
Okay, there you go.

Steph Beckett (30:50.757)
my God, it is eight. Emily said I was right. my God, I’m such a math genius. That’s so crazy. Rave 26, rave because that’s what company we are, 26 because that is what year it is. All one word. If you forget what code you can ask me or Gary will remind you. Last thing before we leave you, we have a launch and learn today at 1 p.m. Eastern.

Gary Kayye (30:55.166)
Well, there you go. So that wouldn’t have worked.

Gary Kayye (31:04.114)
That makes sense.

Steph Beckett (31:16.547)
fixing your fragmentation, orchestrating a hardware agnostic workplace. It’s approved for one CTS, CTSI or CTSDRU. So if you need to get your RUs up, this is the perfect event to do that. It’s an hour long, sponsored by our good friends over at AppSpace. It’s gonna be me and a couple of folks from there. We’re gonna be talking about how a software first hardware agnostic platform can really unify your existing ecosystem.

in your workplace and create this connected experience for employees and a simpler operation system for those teams behind the scenes. So come enjoy. It’s an hour long and then you get your CTSRU out of it. So make sure to go register.
