CEDIA has opened nominations for its 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing individuals who have made a significant and lasting impact on the professional smart home industry.

Established in 1992, the award is one of the association’s highest honors. It celebrates careers defined by long-term dedication, leadership and influence within the global smart home technology sector.

The recipient is selected by the CEDIA Board of Directors based on career achievements, leadership and sustained contributions to the growth and future direction of the industry. Nominees will not be informed that they have been put forward for consideration.

“As our industry continues to grow, it’s vital that we shine a light on the people who have left a legacy in the smart home profession. This award recognizes careers defined by innovation and leadership that has truly shaped the industry,” said Daryl Friedman, Global President and CEO of CEDIA.

Nominations are open through May 24, 2026. The 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient will be honored alongside other CEDIA Smart Home Award winners across the Americas, Asia Pacific and EMEA regions.

Additional award deadlines were also announced. The final deadline for Integrator categories is April 12. For Business, Individual and Manufacturer Product categories, the final deadline is May 24, with an early bird deadline for Manufacturer Product categories set for April 24.
