5 Reasons I’m Excited for LAVNCH WEEK 13

lavnch week 13 three days

If you’ve been following rAVe’s LAVNCH WEEKs, you know they deliver a lot of value in a short amount of time.

Gary and Steph put a great deal of work into curating content relevant to the industry as a whole, and I’ve been honored to contribute to the content at past events.

I am NOT actually a contributor to this event, but I have found myself extremely excited to join from April 7-9. So why is that?

Here are five reasons that I’m excited for the upcoming LAVNCH WEEK 13 event.

Security Day

Why is an experiential integrator excited about Security Day? The reason I think this day is important is that I talk to A LOT of technology managers, and consolidating their platforms and simplifying the management of their systems is a major priority. Security, access control and AV all live on the network today, creating a huge opportunity to break down silos across these systems. Motion and occupancy sensors can also be leveraged as AV and building automation triggers, and unifying systems can make these sensors part of that equation. LAVNCH will also focus on cybersecurity of AV, which in today’s cloud and network-based AV world, is an extremely important topic. Even if you are NOT a security integrator, you shouldn’t sleep on Security Day.

Microsoft and AI

AI is more than a buzzword describing software-based features in our AV hardware ecosystems. Companies are looking to AI to help automate processes, address sustainability, curate place-based connections and improve meetings and meeting outcomes. Microsoft is the tool of choice for most organizations, and many companies’ security policies around AI mean that they leverage Copilot with their Office 365 suite. Amanda Stewart from Microsoft is kicking off UCC day with a keynote around this topic, and it’s sure to be informative and inspirational.

Connecting Intelligences

If Day 1 is about connecting hardware, and Day 2 is about leveraging AI to those platforms, then Day 3 is about connecting intelligences. Julian Phillips kicks off ProAV day with a keynote that is a call to action for integrators to embrace their future in connecting these intelligences, moving beyond hardware and software and instead rethinking integration and defining its future.

SAVe

Sustainability is another often mentioned initiative in most businesses I interface with today, and SAVe is AV’s first association dedicated exclusively to promoting sustainability in AV.

UCC Day will feature a panel discussing how to tackle the conversation when sustainability shows up in the RFP or RFQ. Panelists will discuss how organizations balance performance, lifecycle planning and environmental considerations when deploying UC solutions.

CTS, CTS, CTS

My last reason for being excited is a bit self-serving, but given my approaching renewal dates for my CTS-D and CTS-I are coming up in May, it will be nice to collect some RUs. LAVNCH WEEK 13 offers 7.5 RUs over the course of the three days, or 25% of what a CTS holder needs to earn to keep their credentials. rAVe is also great at distributing the certificates after the event, as well as communicating attendance to AVIXA.

So there you have it, five reasons I’m excited to attend LAVNCH WEEK 13 next week. I hope to see you there, and maybe connect with you in the chat!

That should be enough reasons for you to attend, but for more information and to register for the weeklong event, click here!
