Denver dispensary brand, Social, chose Quality Tech Innovation (QTI) integration and Vanco speakers to provide audio to its retail spaces.

For Social, the goal was to create an environment where guests feel comfortable browsing, asking questions and spending time. Partnering with QTI and Vanco brought this vision to life through music.

Lamont Bryant, the founder of QTI, approaches AV from an IT perspective.

“A lot of integrators will install a system, hand it off, and walk away,” Bryant said. “My
goal is to give clients something they actually understand: something they can grow
with.”

Social wanted an AV design that could be flexible across each of the project’s three locations, and that would create a welcoming atmosphere, support digital displays, be simple to operate and build a scalable AV and IT foundation. Bryant said music played a critical role in achieving those goals.

“You feel it immediately when you walk into a space,” Bryant said. “Good audio sets the tone. It changes how people feel in the store.”

For audio, QTI implemented a combination of Beale Street Audio by Vanco in-ceiling and pendant speakers. These included the 10 WP6V-BSC pendant speakers, the 8 IC6V-BSC in-ceiling speakers, the 2 PA6X120 amplifiers and the 2 PASTREAM2 streaming audio receivers.

This system was designed to maintain consistent sound levels and clarity across the sales floor.

“I’ve dealt with so many installs where audio bleeds everywhere,” Bryant said. “With Beale Street’s Sonic Vortex technology, the sound goes where it’s supposed to go: straight down into the space.”

The PASTREAM2 streaming receivers give store managers flexible access to music sources and allow staff to use familiar tools such as popular streaming services without requiring a third-party control system or frequent IT support.

QTI highlighted its principle that technology shouldn’t ever get in the way of business, saying this philosophy guided every design decision for Social.

The systems are integrated into a broader IT infrastructure that allows for remote monitoring and alerts.

Social said customers commented on the store’s atmosphere following the audio implementation.

“People won’t stop talking about the audio,” Bryant said. “It became part of what they’re known for.”

This success led to the rollout of AV systems in two new locations.

“When you give clients something stable and easy to use, it changes everything,” Bryant said. “They have fewer headaches, and they actually enjoy their system.”
