Barix to Showcase Updated Instreamer and Exstreamer Devices at NAB Show 2026

Barix plans to showcase its latest professional Instreamer and Exstreamer devices for Audio over IP transport across broadcast and media networks at NAB Show 2026.
Barix said it will emphasize format diversification to suit a multitude of scenarios and customer preferences. The Audio over IP pioneer is designed to prioritize flexible parameters and configurations for its MultiCoder M400 and LX400 FLEXA codecs as well as its globally-deployed Reflector Evo cloud transport platform.
The LX400 codec builds on the same features from other Barix solutions that are used for STL, studio-to-studio and several other applications. The solution aims to provide end-to-end delay control for RTP streaming as well as stream redundancy modes for consistency in broadcast.
New for NAB, Barix has added both SRT and RIST support to its low-latency, multi-format MultiCoder M400, an IP encoder that can send audio streams to receive points in four separate formats. Barix said this flexibility has proven useful for broadcast and media production environments as well as with remote service providers streaming content over disparate architectures.
The MultiCoder’s SRT and RIST enhancements come after the addition of an SRT transport option to LX400 codecs, Barix’s secure next-generation transport device built primarily for radio broadcasters. The MultiCoder M400 includes improved CPU capacity and utilizes a new Linux-based platform for enhanced security features with HTTPS for device setup.
“SRT and RIST offer similar benefits as open, interoperable and robust transport protocols for live, secure low-latency transport over the public internet and unmanaged networks,” said Reto Brader, CEO, Barix. “The addition of support for these protocols is primarily about giving our customers the freedom of choice this next generation of Barix hardware devices.”
