beyerdynamic introduced the HEADPHONE LAB, a free studio plug-in, which will debut at The NAMM Show 2026.

The company said that THE HEADPHONE LAB was designed to enhance the performance of beyerdynamic’s studio headphones for producers working from outside of the studio. The goal of the solution is to provide studio-like acoustics and spatial audio in a portable product.

HEADPHONE LAB utilizes a cross-feed model which considers frequency-dependent time and level discrepancies as well as Head-Related Transfer Functions in an effort to translate beyerdynamic’s audio technology to a headphone platform. The solution employs a low-frequency approach to create accurate acoustic reproduction in an environment ideal for mixing and producing.

Each model of the headphones has a Standard Calibration which is based on a “Golden Sample” reference unit that aligns each headphone to its studio sound profile for sound accuracy.

The FACTORY CALIBRATION approach is utilized for precise calibration through measurement data and flexibility.

THE HEADPHONE LAB allows for manual adjustments of ear spacing and head size according to user preference, as well as adjustment of speaker angles between 40°, 60° and 80° and room simulation for a reference environment.

THE HEADPHONE LAB is available for free download for Windows and macOS, and will be on display at Booth #10702 along with beyerdynamic’s lineup of audio solutions at The NAMM Show 2026.
