Coastal Source Launches Razor Backlight Accessory for Razor Outdoor Speakers

Coastal Source officially launched the company’s Razor Backlight accessory, which was designed to integrate with the 200 and 300 Series Razor speakers.

The Razor Backlight accessory aims to provide architectural lighting to the Razor form factor as well as offer a new versatile way to combine audio performance and outdoor illumination in one installation.

“Coastal Source believes that outdoor spaces should be experienced with both exceptional sound and beautiful lighting,” said Franco D’Ascanio, CEO of Coastal Source. “The Razor Backlight further extends that philosophy by giving dealers a simple and flexible way to add ambient illumination to our award-winning Razor speakers without compromising the clean design or performance our customers expect.”

The solution was engineered to mount directly behind the Razor speakers and features an aluminum bracket with soft lighting on both sides of the speaker. Coastal Source said that the goal is to enhance patios, decks and outdoor entertainment areas with a halo-style glow while preserving the discreet profile featured in the Razor family.

The Razor Backlight utilizes durable aluminum and meets IP66 environmental testing standards. It operates on 10-18VAC power and provides a warm 3000K light output designed for outdoor spaces. The solution is compatible with the full range of Coastal Source 200 and 300 Series Razor speakers, including the RZ210 2.5-Way Razor Speaker, RZ220 3-Way Razor Speaker, RZ310High Power 3-Way Razor Speaker, RZ340 Razor Line Source Speaker and RZ350 Razor Subwoofer. The Razor Backlight is available in black and white finishes for a minimalist aesthetic.

Coastal Source said that the solution aims to expand creative design possibilities for outdoor spaces.
