The business unit previously known as Exertis AV has returned to its former name, COMM-TEC, following an international realignment by its parent company, DCC Technology, which will operate under the Nexora name going forward.

The rebranding applies to the DACH region as well as Central and Eastern Europe and reflects a decision to reconnect with the COMM-TEC brand, which has been active in the professional AV market for nearly four decades. The company said the change is intended to reinforce its position as a specialized value-added distributor and partner for ProAV solutions.

COMM-TEC will continue to operate as COMM-TEC GmbH, with no changes to its legal entity, contracts, banking details or tax information. The company said business operations, internal structures and customer contacts will remain unchanged.

According to the company, the COMM-TEC brand has historically emphasized a service-driven approach that extends beyond product distribution. Consulting, system planning, training and technical support have long been part of its business model, particularly as AV systems have become more complex and integrated into enterprise environments.

As part of the Nexora group, COMM-TEC combines regional market expertise with access to an international network. The company said this structure allows it to deliver scalable solutions while maintaining localized support for partners and customers.

COMM-TEC operates as a full-range distributor representing more than 80 AV manufacturers and provides end-to-end support across the project lifecycle, including pre-sales and after-sales services. Its customer base includes resellers, system integrators, consultants and architects working across corporate, education and other professional AV markets.

The company will present under the COMM-TEC name at ISE 2026 in Barcelona, where COMM-TEC DACH & CEE will appear alongside COMM-TEC Iberia and COMM-TEC Italy. The company said its presence at the show will focus on direct engagement with partners rather than large-scale exhibits.

COMM-TEC said the rebranding aligns its long-standing market identity with the broader Nexora strategy while maintaining continuity for customers and partners across Europe.
