Extron Ships New PoE Ceiling Speaker System With Dante and DSP

Extron announced Wednesday that the company is now shipping its first PoE speaker, the NF 4C LP. The ceiling speaker system is a single-cable solution that uses scalable power and a four-channel amplifier to deliver optimal sound quality. With DSP and Dante connectivity solutions, the system is built for adaptability and simplicity for a wide range of environments.
The solution is designed for individual zones with larger ceiling audio systems. The NF 4C LP uses Extron’s DSP Configurator Pro software to be set up independently for each amplifier channel, as well as Dante Domain Manager and AES67 support to enhance compatibility with a wide array of configurations and other audio applications.
According to Extron, the NF 4C LP aims to deliver clear, smooth audio in voice-lift applications. The ceiling sound system, with a 4” (102 mm) full-range driver, features a frequency range of 110 Hz to 20 kHz and 135° conical dispersion. The system is available for purchase in packages of two, three or four speakers and is applicable to complex sound systems.
“The NF 4C LP expands our line of PoE powered, Dante-enabled solutions,” says Casey Hall, Chief Marketing Officer for Extron. “Hot on the heels of our instantly popular NetPA 204 POE, the NF 4C LP PoE powered ceiling speaker system now offers an additional design option for our customers that’s available today.”
