Extron announced the release of the new DSC 12G‑HD A and DSC HD‑12G A high-performance 4K/60 scalers. The solutions were built to support SDI and HDMI workflows in ProAV, broadcast and production environments.

The new scaler solutions provide support for SDI‑to‑HDMI or HDMI‑to‑SDI conversion through Extron’s Vector 4K™ scaling technology. The DSC 12G‑HD A converts 12G‑SDI, 6G‑SDI, 3G‑SDI, and HD‑SDI signals into HDMI output, and the DSC HD‑12G A converts HDMI signals into a 12G‑SDI, 6G‑SDI, 3G‑SDI, and HD‑SDI formats.

DSC 12G‑HD A and DSC HD‑12G A features include embedding and de‑embedding, upstream switching transitions, aspect-ratio control and logo image display possibilities. The company said the solutions aim to provide easy integration into system design, which is made possible through front-panel controls, on-screen menus, USB and Ethernet configuration, EDID management tools, internal test patterns and 1” half-rack enclosures.
