FORTÉ has acquired Vega Global, expanding the systems integrator’s presence across Asia-Pacific and giving it professional staff in 22 countries serving customers in more than 70 major markets worldwide.

The acquisition adds more than 750 Vega Global employees to FORTÉ and establishes or expands its presence in Hong Kong, Mainland China, India, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Korea, Vietnam, Australia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Macau, New Zealand, Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates. FORTÉ also operates in the United States, Ireland, Germany, Sweden, the United Kingdom and Mexico.

For multinational customers and their AV partners, the expanded footprint gives FORTÉ additional local resources for deploying and supporting standardized workplace technology across multiple countries. Its services include integrated meeting room technologies, digital workplace solutions, mission-critical systems and managed services.

“Multinational organizations need strategic partners who can deliver consistent communication and collaboration experiences wherever their people work and do business,” said Jeff Stoebner, Chairman and CEO of FORTÉ. “With Vega Global now part of FORTÉ, we provide customers with the scale, speed and local expertise they require to enhance productivity across the globe.”

Vega Global provides workplace technology and audiovisual integration services to corporate, education, government and other customers throughout APAC. The acquisition extends FORTÉ’s ability to design, deploy and support systems for organizations operating across multiple regions.

Steven Medeiros, who led Vega Global, will serve as CEO of FORTÉ Asia.

“Joining FORTÉ is a strategic opportunity to expand what we can offer customers around the world,” said Medeiros, who will serve as CEO of FORTÉ Asia. “Equally important, FORTÉ shares our commitment to customer service, innovation and people-first collaboration, making this a strong cultural fit and the right decision for our employees, customers and partners.”

The deal comes as multinational organizations increasingly standardize meeting room and collaboration technologies across offices, campuses and regions. The combined organization positions FORTÉ to provide local deployment and support resources while maintaining common technology standards across geographically distributed projects.

Headquartered in Minneapolis, FORTÉ provides AV integration and workplace collaboration services, including meeting room systems, digital workplace solutions and managed services. The company was founded in 1974.
