Miri Technologies Launches V410 Live 4K Encoder/Decoder for Streaming and AV-over-IP

Miri Technologies has announced the launch of its V410 live 4K video encoder/decoder, a compact device designed for streaming, IP-based production workflows and AV-over-IP distribution.
The V410 is user-configurable as either an encoder or a decoder. In encode mode, it supports one 4K Ultra HD output at 60 frames per second or two simultaneous 2K QHD (2560 x 1440) channels. In decode mode, it can decode two concurrent 4K Ultra HD streams from supported source formats. Video input and output connections include HDMI, 3G-SDI and USB, with embedded audio support.
“Encoding and decoding should be about more than just formats and features,” said Ryan Brenneman, co-founder and CTO of Miri Technologies. “An easy and efficient user experience is just as important as specifications. The Miri V410 encoder/decoder is designed to be simple enough for less-technical users and volunteers but offers deep enough controls and advanced capabilities to delight experienced producers and media engineers.”
For livestreaming applications, the V410 supports H.264 and H.265 encoding and decoding across protocols including SRT, RTMP, RTMPS, HLS, TS over UDP and RTSP. In video-over-IP environments, the device can encode NDI HX2 and NDI HX3, and decode NDI High Bandwidth, NDI HX2 and NDI HX3. In encode mode, the V410 also supports transcoding from NDI High Bandwidth and NDI HX sources to streaming formats and protocols.
Miri said it will also preview upcoming support for the Open Media Transport (OMT) open-source protocol at ISE 2026.
The company emphasized a user-focused design approach for both software and hardware. The V410 features a browser-based web interface, along with a built-in LCD screen and front-panel menu and shortcut buttons. A large tally light ring on the top of the unit and dedicated front-panel VU meters provide visual indication of tally status and audio levels. A front-mounted headphone jack allows for quick audio monitoring, including in rack-mounted installations.
Network connectivity is a central feature of the V410. The device includes built-in Wi-Fi 7, which Miri says is a first for professional video encoding and decoding hardware. It also offers dual Gigabit Ethernet ports for multi-LAN connectivity or redundancy, with Power over Ethernet supported on one port. The V410 can be paired with Miri’s X510 dual-cellular bonding router for additional network resilience.
Physically, the V410 measures 210 mm by 142 mm by 43.5 mm and can be used on a desktop or mounted in a rack. In addition to livestreaming and IP workflows, the device supports local recording to a microSD card or an external USB drive.
“In a high-pressure production environment, little details can all add up to make a big difference in simplifying operation, instilling confidence and reducing stress,” Brenneman said. “From the carefully crafted web user interface to the convenience of the physical touchpoints, the V410 is designed to work the way users always wished their encoder or decoder would.”
The Miri V410 will make its trade show debut at ISE 2026 in Barcelona, Feb. 3–6, at stand 4G550 with Miri’s European master distributor, Riwit.
