Rants & rAVes — Episode 1503: Why dvLED Is Becoming Part of the Architecture, Not Just the Technology

Ahead of InfoComm 2026, I spoke with Tim Allen from SNA Displays about how large-format LED displays are changing the way organizations think about physical spaces.
We discussed the growing role of dvLED in corporate, retail and hospitality environments, why displays are increasingly being treated as part of the architecture itself and how conversations around LED have shifted from simple specifications to larger discussions about design intent, user experience and long-term value.
Tim also talked about what SNA Displays plans to showcase at InfoComm this year, including the company’s first stand-alone booth presence at the show. He described the company’s focus on helping customers better understand dvLED technologies and navigate what he called a growing “comprehension gap” in the market as industry terminology and display options continue expanding. SNA Displays will exhibit in booth 6955 in the North Hall of the LVCC during InfoComm 2026.
We also spent part of the conversation discussing the people side of the AV industry, including mentorship, community and the importance of supporting mental health within the industry.
If you or someone you know is struggling with anxiety, depression or other mental health challenges, resources and support are available:
