Sonance Professional announced the global availability of the complete Professional Series High Output Loudspeaker family. The compression driver-based family is designed for commercial environments requiring higher SPL, controlled coverage and enhanced speech Intelligibility. The family expands the company’s Professional Series into a broader range of demanding applications.

“The sonic fidelity we’ve achieved in the new High Output family, along with its flexible form factors and configurable wide or narrow dispersion, represents a transformative advancement in the category,” said Skylar Gray, director of engineering at Sonance.

The company said the family includes pendant, surface mount, blind mount in-ceiling and two-piece in-ceiling models. Each loudspeaker features an 8-inch woofer and a coaxially
mounted 1.4-inch compression driver in an effort to provide the output and clarity necessary for foreground music and open microphone applications.

Sonance Professional said that a key feature of the Professional Series High Output family is Variable Dispersion Technology, which aims to allow designers and installers to select between 120-degree and 80-degree dispersion patterns to optimize coverage for both low- and high-ceiling applications.

The technology is delivered through a magnetically interchangeable horn and collar assembly that ships in the box with every model and can be reconfigured in the field without any special tools. The family features a two-position switch that aims to optimize the crossover for whichever dispersion configuration is selected in an effort to ensure consistent sonic performance in either mode.

The company said that every model includes the same acoustic voicing, allowing designers to mix pendant, surface mount, and in-ceiling loudspeakers throughout a project. The surface mount model extends deployment into covered outdoor environments with an IPX4 rating, and the two-piece in-ceiling model supports rough-in during early construction.A cross the family, integrated 70V/100V transformers with up to 120-watt taps, 8-ohm bypass capability, UL1480A compliance and UL2043 certification on in-ceiling models serve to simplify specification across a wide range of commercial projects.

Sonance Professional said that the loudspeaker family is suitable for deployment in convention centers, ballrooms, houses of worship, fitness facilities, sports bars, hospitality venues, retail environments and other commercial spaces.
