Waves Audio Releases V17 Update for Waves Plugin Catalog
Waves Audio officially announced the release of f V17, a major update across the Waves plugin catalog that introduces a redesigned preset management system, new live sound and post-production enhancements. The update also introduced the Mix Unlock, a premium feature within StudioVerse that gives users greater control over finished stereo audio.
The company said that V17 is powered by a new present management system implemented across the entire Waves plugin catalog. The new workflow aims to improve how users browse, search, organize and save presets and make it easier to access sounds without disrupting the creative process. The redesigned system features enhanced preset browsing, improved search functionality, management of favorite presets and streamlined organizational tools.
Waves Audio said that the new updates serve to allow users to quickly find the settings they need in music production, mixing, mastering, broadcast or live sound environments. In live sound, the V17 aims to enable the real-time analyzers within the Renaissance EQ and eMo Q4 plugins to run within the eMotion LV1 and SuperRack platforms. The update also features extended dynamic control and a new 5Hz Frequency Shift option in Waves PSE.
For studio users, V17 includes a new interface for the MondoMod modulation plugin, new I/O automation controls in CLA MixDown and AudioSuite support for the WLM Plus Loudness Meter.
V17 also introduces Mix Unlock, a premium feature within StudioVerse Audio Effects. It enables users to separate finished stereo audio into vocals, drums, bass and instruments in real time, directly within the DAW. Waves Audio said that each element can be independently adjusted or creatively transformed using StudioVerse preset chains and Waves plugins.
The update also provides stability improvements, workflow refinements and bug fixes across plugins, applications and supported DAWs.
Waves Audio said that the StudioVerse: Mix Unlock feature is included in Waves Creative Access subscriptions. It is also available for separate purchase and, for a limited time, it is free for owners of any Waves V17 plugin.
