AVer Releases Firmware Update to Improve Framing Control and Image Quality

AVer

AVer Information Inc. today announced a new firmware update that expands AI tracking accuracy, image quality and framing control of AVer’s PTZ cameras. The update also includes the introduction of Face Enrollment, Effective Tracking, Shield Zone, ZONE Mode and People Framing capabilities. The company said that these advancements aim to deliver reliable video experiences.

The Face Enrollment feature allows preloading of presenter profiles for improved live performance. Up to 20 presenter faces can be enrolled per camera. Face Enrollment reduces tracking interruptions and minimizes manual adjustments in an effort to reduce the need for camera management.

Effective Tracking aims to improve tracking performance through the expansion of Effective Tracking Area. The upgrade features broader coverage through availability of five corners. Shield Zone allows for designation of specific areas that the camera will ignore, preventing the interference of background movement in the tracking process.

The Zone Mode enhancement removes direct limitations in an effort to provide flexibility for defining tracking behavior based on presentation style. The People Framing capability automatically centers participants in the frame and was designed to align camera performance across Pro AV and video conferencing use cases.

The company also said that Live Image Color Improvement is included in the update, which provides color correction properties. The technology was designed to produce a natural look for participants on camera.

“As hybrid communication continues to evolve, users need camera technology that adapts seamlessly to dynamic environments,” said Katie Sullivan, Senior Product Manager for AVer Information Inc. USA. “This firmware update emphasizes AVer’s commitment to delivering smarter automation, greater control and improved visual performance for our customers.”
