AVI-SPL to Outline Climate Strategy at ISE 2026, Commit to Science-Based targets and Rainforest Conservation

AVI-SPL will outline a new integrated climate strategy at ISE 2026 that includes a commitment to set Science Based Targets for greenhouse gas reductions and an investment in UN-aligned REDD+ rainforest conservation efforts in Ecuador.
The company said the strategy is designed to address both emissions reduction across its operations and supply chain and long-term ecosystem protection. AVI-SPL plans to formally begin the Science Based Targets initiative process while supporting conservation projects focused on carbon sequestration and biodiversity protection.
“This isn’t a pledge. It’s a strategy,” said Tim Riek, chief strategy officer at AVI-SPL. “We believe leadership today means taking responsibility for the full impact of our business.”
AVI-SPL said the REDD+ investment will support rainforest preservation efforts and Indigenous-led stewardship programs while protecting one of the world’s major carbon sinks. The company said the initiative is intended to complement, not replace, emissions reduction efforts.
“This isn’t offsetting. It’s contributing,” said Kelly Bousman, senior vice president of ESG and sustainability at AVI-SPL.
Bousman said setting science-based targets will provide a measurable framework for accountability while conservation investments reflect the company’s broader environmental responsibility.
AVI-SPL said it is also working with preferred technology partners to improve product-level carbon footprint reporting and increase transparency across the AV and IT integration supply chain.
ISE 2026 takes place Feb. 3–6 in Barcelona. AVI-SPL will discuss its climate initiatives as part of its on-site presence at the show.
