AVI-SPL Launches Partnership with Matternet

AVI-SPL officially announced a partnership with Matternet, the FAA Type-Certified drone delivery platform, to deploy drone logistics to speed service delivery across metropolitan markets.
The partnership combines AVI-SPL’s service, integration, and supply chain network with Matternet’s autonomous drone technology to deliver critical equipment and replacement parts to field technicians in minutes, reducing delays in congested urban and suburban areas.
The partnership aims to provide technology for a wide array of use cases, including rapid delivery of critical parts to AVI-SPL installers and technicians working in congested downtown areas and premium service offerings with faster response times and tighter service-level agreements for customers requiring the highest levels of support. It also applies to broader integration across AVI-SPL’s supply chain network to reduce road transportation and increase efficiency in dense metropolitan markets.
“At AVI-SPL, we are always looking for new ways to enhance the customer experience and support our technicians in the field,” said John Murphy, COO at AVI-SPL. “This partnership is an important step toward reimagining how critical equipment moves through our service ecosystem. Autonomous drone delivery can improve responsiveness, reduce transportation delays, and create entirely new service capabilities for our customers.”
AVI-SPL said the collaboration reflects its commitment to using advanced technology to solve real-world business challenges.
“Drone delivery will transform time-critical B2B logistics,” said Andreas Raptopoulos, founder and CEO of Matternet. “Instead of waiting hours for a part, a technician can have it within minutes, which allows a job to be completed faster and at a lower cost. We’re excited to partner with AVI-SPL to bring the value of ultra-fast autonomous delivery to this vertical.”
