BenQ Launches AK900ST and AK800ST Projectors for Golf Simulation
BenQ officially introduced the AK900ST and AK800ST, its newest projectors purpose built for golf simulation. The company said the [projectors build on its innovation in the gold simulator market and combine 4K UHD resolution, advanced color processing and automated setup tools to deliver a more realistic round of indoor golf.
BenQ said the AK900ST and AK800ST combine 6,000 ANSI lumens with true 4K UHD resolution and 97% Rec. 709 color coverage, aiming to reproduce subtle details and color variations to make courses feel more natural. BenQ’s Golf Mode 2.0 employs frame-based AI video processing to optimize color, contrast, and detail specifically for golf simulation.
The AK900ST and AK800ST work to simplify installation with automated setup tools. These tools include Auto Screen Fit 2.0, which uses uses the projector’s built-in camera and sensors to detect the size and shape of the screen and automatically adjust image geometry, as well as auto focus for sharpening the image and an ambient visual enhancer that detects changing room conditions and fine-tunes the image accordingly. The projectors also feature new screen fill aspect ratios including 5:4 and 3:2 that let users quickly select the aspect ratio that best fits their simulator screen.
The projectors also feature Scene Memory, which allows user to save customized settings, 97% Rec. 709 w/ HDR10 image support and Cinematic Mode with native 24p film playback delivers full movie-theater depth and picture quality and Automatic Low Latency Mode that enables high refresh rates and low lag time when connected to a gaming console.
The AK900ST and AK800ST will be available for purchase later this month at BenQ.com and through authorized BenQ resellers.
