Christie Digital Systems USA announced that the company agreed to sell the Christie Broadcast and Professional Video business to Vista PHX, Corp. The transaction is expected to close by the end of February.

Vista PHX, Corp. is set to acquire Christie’s Spyder, Terra, Phoenix and Mastering Gateway solution lines.

Vista PHX, Corp. is a new corporation which was started by former Vista Systems owners Clark Williams and Jeff Wilson. Christie said that the agreement marks the return of the industry’s video processing technologies back to where they were first developed.

Christie hopes that the transaction will secure the future of the Spyder brand and help further the company’s mission of delivering end-to-end mission-critical video processing solutions.
