Dirac officially announced that Dirac Live Active Room Treatment is now available in Dirac Live Processor, the newly renamed evolution of Dirac Live Room Correction Suite.

Dirac Live Processor is a virtual audio processor for PC and Mac that applies room correction to audio before it reaches the sound system. The company said that it aims to give listeners a new way to measure and optimize their room and system performance through software alone and the computer they already own. It also includes support for VST, VST3, AAX and AU plug-in formats and can be used in compatible DAWs and media players.

The company said that with the launch, Dirac Live Processor now supports the full Dirac Live portfolio: Dirac Live Room Correction, Dirac Live Bass Control and Dirac Live Active Room Treatment.

Dirac Live Room Correction serves to analyze how a room and speaker setup affect the interaction between sound and space, then applies corrections that aim to improve timing, phase alignment, frequency response, imaging and tonal balance. The company said that Dirac Live Bass Control optimizes low-frequency performance across subwoofers and speakers in an effort to to deliver smoother, more consistent bass.

Dirac said that the addition of Active Room Treatment allows Dirac Live Processor to support Dirac’s most complete approach to room acoustics management. The company said that Active Room Treatment aims to build on Dirac Live Room Correction by using the full speaker array as a coordinated acoustic system to help control room resonances and sound decay to deliver a cleaner soundstage.

Over the past year, Dirac has expanded access to Dirac Live Active Room Treatment through a
growing range of home audio collaborations and integrations with brands such as AudioControl, Denon, Marantz, miniDSP, Monoprice and StormAudio. Dirac said that Dirac Live Processor now extends access to PC and Mac.

Active Room Treatment is available on Dirac Live Processor starting June 30, 2026. Existing users of Dirac Live Room Correction Suite will automatically be transitioned to Dirac Live Processor together with their current licenses and settings. Licenses can be purchased with an optional 14-day free trial at Dirac’s website.
