Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) officially introduced its latest additions to its Newport Series of lightweight, high-performance solutions that the company said aim to break the price-to-performance status quo. The products will be on display for the first time at InfoComm 2026.

The new solutions include the NT208L Line Array and NT116S Subwoofer. The company said that the products aim to provide simple operation, space efficiency and high performance, particularly for touring and live production installations, as well as outdoor festivals.

EAW will also debut its new Online Array Assistant (OAA) software, a browser-based tool available for use via computer or smart phone. It aims to provide angles, pick-points and switch settings for peak performance in an effort to ensure rigging is right on the first hang.

The Newport Series unites high-power, integrated amplification with a lightweight, durable construction, aiming to eliminate the extra gear and simplify deployment. The Newport Series integrates high-efficiency Class-D amplification directly into each enclosure to prevent the need for external amp racks. EAW said that the series is included in the company’s software libraries for professional 3D SPL modeling and detailed room optimization.

“Newport cabinets use a new EAW horn and patented waveguide technology, while also being engineered to be the lightest in their class,” said Geoff McKinnon, senior director of engineering at EAW. “Even the smallest modules provide high-frequency throw and low-mid punch that typically requires much larger-format, more expensive systems. By integrating the amplification directly into the cabinets, EAW eliminated the weight and footprint of external amp racks. This means less warehouse space and allows you to fit more PA into a smaller truck, reducing labor demands and transportation costs.”

The company said that the new NT208L line array is a dual 8-inch active line array that joins the existing NT206L and NTX210L and serves to deliver 141 dB Max SPL with low-frequency extension to 50 Hz. EAW also said that the solution was designed with a 2000W Class-D amplifier and field-adjustable horn and Adjustable Horizontal Directivity (AHD). AHD aims to allow users to choose between four horizontal coverage profiles through simple, toolless adjustments in the field.

The NT116S subwoofer features an optional rigging accessory that allows the NT116S to be flown with the NT206L line array or deployed as a standalone low frequency solution. The solution also includes a “Cardioid Mode” that provides low-frequency energy in the audience area and keeps it off the stage when the subwoofers are physically configured. EAW said that it also has additional subwoofer options in development, NT119S and NT219S, that will further complement the Newport line.
