ADI is launching the Episode 4-Zone Streaming Preamp (EA-STREAM-PRE-4), a high-resolution, installed audio solution designed to operate as a stand-alone streamer or integrate with a Control4 system.

The new preamp is Episode’s first Ryff-enabled streaming product, built to run the Ryff streaming platform.

According to ADI, the Episode Ryff-enabled 4-zone streaming preamp is designed to deliver reliable, high-performance audio across four independent zones from a 1U rack-mountable chassis. The preamp supports 192 kHz audio streaming and delivers a Control4-style listening interface.

The platform is compatible with Control4, MolP, OvrC and AirPlay 2. ADI said this simplifies system design, deployment and long-term support.

“The Episode Ryff-enabled 4-zone preamp makes professional installed multi-zone streaming audio more accessible, scalable, and cost-effective,” said Mike Burratto, senior director of product management at ADI. “As the first Ryff-enabled streaming product in the Episode lineup, it introduces more customers to the Ryff platform while giving integrators a flexible solution that works equally well as a standalone audio system or within a larger Control4 installation.”

Each unit can support four independent audio streams, enabling integrators to deliver more streams compared with single-stream components. ADI said multiple preamp units can be combined to quickly scale multiroom audio systems, making the solution suitable for mid- to large-sized residential or commercial projects that require multiple streaming sources.

The preamp works with the Ryff app and requires no brand-specific authorization for setup or deployment. It’s also designed to work seamlessly with other Ryff-enabled devices.

Remote monitoring, configuration and management are supported through OvrC, providing integrators with tools for remote diagnostics and ongoing system support.

The new Episode preamp requires an external amplifier and is designed to pair with Episode amplification solutions, including the Episode Dynamic Amplifier, Response Series DSP Amplifier, and MoIP Amplifier.
