Extron Updates VCA 100 with Redundancy Feature, Enhanced Alarm Reporting

Extron has updated its VCA 100 Virtual Control Appliance with a redundancy feature that enables a backup VCA 100 to automatically take over in the event of a system failure.
Additionally, Extron said enhanced alarm reporting sends email alerts to support staff when any condition triggers an alarm in the redundant system.
The Extron VCA 100 is a virtual control appliance designed for centralized AV control across an organization. The platform includes integrated virtual control processors that enable scalable control without recurring licensing fees.
“From the start, the VCA 100 was engineered as a long-term platform built to evolve,” said Casey Hall, chief marketing officer for Extron. “With this update, we’re strengthening system resilience through redundancy and simpler day-to-day management, along with additional enhancements. Because our firmware is developed internally, we can adapt quickly as requirements change—helping customers protect their investment and get sustained value from their VCA 100 hardware.”
