GLP Launches TWYN Dual-Face Moving Head

GLP

GLP officially launched TWYN, a new dual-face moving head that brings together the capabilities of two of the company’s platforms, the Creos and the JDC Burst 1, in a single motorized system.

The solution combines a high-output RGBL wash with a hybrid strobe, aiming to offer a new approach to light design and reduce the number of fixtures required. TWYN debuted at ISE 2026 in Barcelona.

The solution features one face with a 3×3 lens array with nine 40W RGBL LEDs, identical to those found in GLP’s X5 Series and Creos, and a zoom range of 4° to 53°. It aims to deliver homogeneous washes with consistent color mixing across the full zoom range, an output of up to 4,060 lumens and a CRI above 85.

TWYN also features another side, a face configured as a hybrid strobe drawn from the JDC Burst 1 design. Thirty-six high-intensity white LEDs produce a broad, even strobe with an output of up to 22,800 lumens. These are complemented by 480 RGBW LEDs in the surrounding segments in an effort to provide dynamic visual effects.

GLP said that one face operates as a beam or strobe while the other can illuminate surfaces and structures in parallel, eliminating the need for multiple fixtures. Continuous pan and tilt rotation enables fluid transitions and dynamic movement across the full range. The company said that the solution is well-suited for touring setups, club environments and mobile productions.

TWYN also features a pixel and segmentation structure identical to the CRESO and JDC Burst 1. Consistent color quality is provided by GLP’s iQ.Gamut technology, which serves to provide stable colors and intensities at defined white points for pastels and highly saturated primaries made to match the Creos and X5 Series.

GLP said that TWYN can be operated free-standing or mounted vertically or horizontally on truss, with two integrated Camlock pairs for fast, flexible rigging. Each unit is supplied with the GLP DRX Dual Sleeve, which accommodates up to six fixtures per standard case and supports a quick build.

The company said that the solution is suited for both indoor and outdoor use, as it features IP65-rated housing, which protects TWYN against rain, dust, dirt, haze fluid and confetti. On the EU mains, up to four units can be daisy-chained via PowerCON True1. GLP iQ.Mesh and the iQ.Service App provide wireless firmware updates, device status readout and extended service, configuration and control options. The GLP TWYN is already in production, with the first units now shipping.

“With TWYN, we have created a fixture that perfectly meets the demand for maximum creativity with minimum equipment overhead,” said Udo Künzler, managing director of GLP. “The combination of Creos and JDC Burst 1 in a weatherproof, compact fixture offers unparalleled flexibility and cost-effectiveness for events of any scale.”
