Pure Resonance Audio has announced the release of its new WTX1 plug-on XLR wireless system. This is a compact wireless audio transmitter and receiver system designed to convert wired microphones and other XLR and quarter-inch TS audio systems into a wireless setup.

The transmitter connects directly into a microphone or audio source, while the battery-powered receiver plugs into a mixer, active speaker or other input. Quarter-inch TS adapters extend compatibility beyond microphones to additional audio sources.

The product operates in the 500-520 MHz UHF band and offers 40 selectable channels with up to 98 feet of line-of-sight range. The product’s built-in display shows battery status, signal strength and frequency and the system supports MIC/LINE level selection along with optional 48V phantom power.

Power comes from integrated USB-C rechargeable lithium batteries, which are rated for up to six hours of operation.
