SDVoE Alliance to Showcase Medical Audiovisual Demonstrations by Advantech and Broadata at ISE 2026

MONTREAL (January 28, 2026) – The SDVoE Alliance, a nonprofit consortium of technology providers collaborating to standardize the adoption of Ethernet to transport AV signals in professional AV environments, will feature two live demonstrations at ISE 2026 from Alliance members Advantech and Broadata. The demonstrations, presented in the SDVoE Alliance booth, will spotlight SDVoE technology in medical and AI-driven applications as part of the Alliance’s ongoing Power of 10 initiative.
Advantech will demonstrate how SDVoE technology enhances its NVIDIA IGX medical AI platform for AI-assisted endoscopic surgery. By integrating SDVoE with the VEGA-1200 and VEGA-3003, Advantech enables transmission of uncompressed 4K surgical video over distances up to 400 meters with near-zero latency. The demonstration will show how the solution supports real-time multiview processing and Clara Holoscan–based AI inference, which is essential for precision diagnostics and intraoperative decision-making in operating room environments.
Broadata will explore next-generation SDVoE AV transport and fiber-based solutions for medical integration. The exhibit will feature a modular SDVoE rack integration system, designed for HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and legacy format inputs over fiber. The system supports real-time switching and distribution for operative content at 4K60 with ultra-low latency. Broadata will show a compact mini HDMI encoder and decoder capable of delivering 4K60 with visually lossless compression and zero latency, including a point-to-point mode that removes the need for a separate HDMI extender. A direct fiber-input SDVoE-compatible medical monitor will demonstrate uncompressed, real-time imaging without an external receiver, a capability suited for surgical and hybrid operating environments.
“The demonstrations from Advantech and Broadata emphasize how SDVoE technology continues to support high-performance imaging, low-latency distribution and system interoperability in medical settings,” said Stephane Tremblay, president of the SDVoE Alliance. “These solutions illustrate how SDVoE enables reliable transport for AI-driven workflows and mission-critical surgical applications.”
The demonstrations support the SDVoE Alliance’s Power of 10 initiative, which highlights how 10G Ethernet infrastructure enables zero latency, uncompressed 4K60 4:4:4 video, seamless multiview and video wall functionality, robust KVM, instantaneous switching and support for USB 2.0 alongside video on a single 10G network. With proven interoperability, a standard software interface, low power consumption and a common ASIC across manufacturers, SDVoE provides a unified platform for high-performance professional AV deployments.
