Uniguest officially launched Hub OS, a software release that provides Onelan and MediaStar customers with a path to the next generation Uniguest Hub AV platform while allowing them to retain compatible existing NTB and media player hardware.

The Hub OS launch enables supported Onelan NTB and MediaStar hardware to now work with Hub AV. This aims to remove the need for an immediate, estate-wide hardware refresh. The company said that this serves to benefit organizations with large existing deployments, allowing them to maximize their investment in existing hardware while accessing the wider capabilities of Uniguest’s enterprise AV platform.

Hub AV (formerly Tripleplay) is Uniguest’s enterprise AV platform, uniting digital signage, IPTV and enterprise video in one IT-friendly solution. Applicable to corporate, sports, venues, enterprise, banking, government, education, retail and other environments, it aims to enable organizations to centrally manage and distribute media across their estate, with secure, scalable on-premises, cloud and hybrid deployment options.

Transitioning to Hub AV provides access to additional functionality including future-ready IPTV and enterprise video, event-driven content, an expanded integration library, Power BI integration, Interactive Multiview, digital menu boards and meeting room device support.
