Great Displays Fail Without Great Installs — ViewSonic Wants to Fix That

THIS IS A PROMOTED POST

viewsonic dvled training cert program

As I walked the floor at ISE 2026, one trend stood out immediately: the sheer amount of direct-view LED. Honestly, that’s been true for several years now. Self-illuminating panels. Seamless, bezel-free canvases. Virtually unlimited scalability for video walls. All of it is real — and increasingly accessible.

What began as a solution reserved for command-and-control environments and other specialty installs has firmly entered mainstream ProAV. The question is: Is your team ready for that shift?

Because every new technology brings the same challenge — someone has to know how to install it properly.

dvLED deployments are far from plug-and-play. Installation requires careful attention to factors such as:

  • Pixel alignment
  • Structural requirements
  • Front versus rear service access
  • Thermal considerations

And that’s just the short list.

With complexity this high, it’s encouraging to see manufacturers stepping in to train the channel. The latest example is ViewSonic’s dvLED Installation Certification Program. While the program focuses specifically on ViewSonic products, the underlying need — skilled installation — is universal across the category.

The program consists of two days of instructor-led, on-site training combined with hands-on work using real products and components. The goal is straightforward: Teach proper installation practices so projects perform as intended.

“We developed the Installation Certification Program not only to reinforce ViewSonic as one of the leaders in dvLED solutions but help our customers sustain and maintain ViewSonic dvLED installations in the field, whether the project is pre-configured or configurable,” said Shane Roma, Technical Product Manager of dvLED/Commercial Displays at ViewSonic. “… The goal with this program is to ensure that ViewSonic is the installer and integrators’ display partner, from planning to finalized project.”

So what’s in it for integrators?

For starters, certification lowers the barrier to entry. Firms that may have hesitated to pursue dvLED projects can gain the skills — and confidence — to add the technology to their portfolio. It also strengthens proposals. In competitive bids, credentials matter, and manufacturer-backed certification signals competence and reduced risk. CTS holders already know that certs speak volumes.

For customers, the benefit is just as significant: confidence. dvLED projects represent major investments, and knowing that installers have been trained on the specific technology being deployed reduces uncertainty.

As dvLED continues its march into mainstream applications, resources like this will become increasingly important for both sides of the table.

ViewSonic’s dvLED Installation Certification Program is intended for experienced installers with one to three years of AV installation experience; industry certifications such as CTS are recommended. The program is available to ViewSonic partners across the U.S., Canada and Latin America, with training locations and dates expected to be announced throughout the year.
