Alfatron Electronics has announced the VB100 Video Soundbar, an all-in-one video collaboration solution designed for medium-sized meeting rooms. The VB100 integrates a 4K Ultra HD camera, microphone array and loudspeaker into a single device aimed at simplifying room deployment.

The camera features a 120-degree field of view and AI-based face tracking to capture meeting participants clearly. According to the company, the VB100 is designed to ensure that all participants remain visible and engaged during videoconferences.

Audio capture is handled by a built-in microphone array with a voice pickup range of up to 5 meters, or 16.4 feet. The system also supports optional external microphones, including the ALF-MIC100W wireless microphone system with four wireless units and the ALF-MIC100 single wired microphone. When connected, the optional microphones override the soundbar’s integrated microphone array.

The VB100 offers three camera modes: Speaker Tracking, Auto Framing and Auto Tiling. Speaker Tracking follows the active speaker, while Auto Framing adjusts the image to focus on participants within the room. Auto Tiling can display up to six participants in individual windows.

For audio playback, the VB100 includes what Alfatron describes as a hi-fidelity true-voice loudspeaker designed to deliver clear speech reproduction. The system incorporates Smart DSP audio processing, including Acoustic Echo Cancellation, Automatic Noise Cancellation and Automatic Gain Control.

In rooms with reflective surfaces, echo cancellation is intended to reduce audio reflections that can affect intelligibility. Noise cancellation filters background noise, while automatic gain control adjusts output levels to maintain consistent speech volume.
