Broadcast Solutions Group has acquired PMT Professional Motion Technology GmbH, bringing the German camera motion specialist into its growing broadcast technology portfolio and merging it with Egripment Deutschland GmbH.

As part of the transaction, Egripment Deutschland, which joined Broadcast Solutions Group in September 2025, will be fully integrated with PMT. The combined operation will trade under the name PMT Professional Motion Technology GmbH. The Egripment brand will continue to operate through its Dutch headquarters, including rental services and the manufacture of camera support equipment.

PMT will continue to serve customers from its existing locations in Hamburg and Cologne with a team of 20 employees. Broadcast Solutions Group said all current staff will remain in place to ensure continuity for customers and partners.

The acquisition includes changes to PMT’s management structure. Christian Gärtner, former managing director and shareholder of PMT, will step down from day-to-day management. He will remain involved as a consultant to support the transition. Maximilian Breder will serve as CEO, with Philip von Senden appointed COO, overseeing sales and marketing.

Technical leadership will be shared across the merged organizations. Tim Ritter has been named CTO, while Martin Dreesbach will serve as CTIO for both Egripment and PMT. Dreesbach will also continue his work as R&D manager at Egripment and act as a development partner for the Broadcast Solutions Group CTO Office.

Broadcast Solutions Group said the acquisition strengthens its position in special camera systems and expands its offering across sports production, entertainment and live events in the GSA region. The continued Egripment Camera Support rental operation in the Netherlands will complement PMT’s services, creating a unified rental network with increased capacity, optimized logistics and a broader shared inventory.

The group also highlighted Egripment’s in-house engineering and production capabilities as a key benefit of the merger. Product development and manufacturing in the Netherlands will support rental operations with customized solutions and rapid turnaround based on feedback from live productions.

Customers are expected to benefit from greater availability of camera motion systems, a larger combined inventory and international support through Broadcast Solutions Group’s network.
