Celestion Introduces TF0512HE Compact Mid-Bass Driver
Celestion has announced the TF0512HE, a 5-inch mid-bass driver designed for use in compact studio monitors, bookshelf speakers, infill cabinets and small line array systems.
Weighing 1.4 kilograms (3.1 pounds), the driver is rated for up to 150 watts of continuous program power. Its Kevlar-loaded paper cone and elastomer surround are engineered to reduce distortion and extend bass response, while an inverted dust cap supports phase plug designs for improved projection.
Additional specifications include:
- Ferrite magnet with copper-clad aluminum voice coil.
- Frequency response of 55 Hz to 4 kHz.
- 8-ohm nominal impedance.
- Sensitivity rated at 89.5 dB.
Celestion says the TF0512HE is suited for both two-way systems — with or without subwoofer support — and as a midrange driver in three-way cabinet designs.
