Centrios has introduced the Centrios Exit Trim, expanding its access control platform to support doors equipped with exit devices. The product will be available for order in the United States beginning Feb. 20, 2026.

Designed for commercial openings that require exit devices for life safety compliance, the Exit Trim extends Centrios’ app-based access control system to front entrances, rear exits, stairwells and employee-only corridors. These openings are common in retail, education, office and health care environments but are often left unmodified due to the perceived complexity of upgrades.

The Centrios Exit Trim can be ordered with the ASSA ABLOY ACCENTRA 6100 Exit Device, a rim exit device commonly specified in commercial buildings. The 6100 is available in multiple finishes and bar lengths, including fire-rated options, which Centrios said simplifies specification and procurement for distributors and installers.

In addition to new installations, the Exit Trim is designed to retrofit a range of existing exit devices already deployed in the field. The company said this flexibility allows businesses to modernize access control without replacing all door hardware, supporting phased upgrades and standardization across multiple locations.

Target applications include high-traffic retail environments, back-of-house employee entrances, emergency exits and stairwell doors, multi-tenant office buildings and secondary access points. The system is designed to maintain code compliance while enabling credential management and activity tracking through Centrios’ cloud-based platform.

The launch follows recent additions to the Centrios ecosystem. In October, the company introduced a mortise lock designed for mortise-prepped commercial openings. In December, Centrios began shipping a padlock to extend access control beyond traditional swinging doors.

With the addition of exit device compatibility, Centrios now supports cylindrical locks, mortise locks, reader-controlled openings, padlocks and exit devices under a single management platform. All supported locks, including the new Exit Trim, can accept Centrios card and fob credentials through the company’s Pro Plan.

Centrios positions its platform for small and growing businesses seeking cloud-based access control without the complexity of enterprise-scale systems. As part of the product rollout, the company noted that lead times may be up to eight weeks as production capacity ramps up.
