Chief, a brand of Legrand AV, has introduced the Tempo Floor Support Mount, the latest evolution of its AVSFSS floor-supported mounting solution. Designed for larger-format displays and environments where wall integrity may be limited, the system transfers the full load of the display directly to the floor while maintaining alignment and long-term stability.

The Tempo Floor Support Mount builds on Chief’s original two-column, floor-supported architecture, eliminating the need to locate wall studs or reinforce mounting surfaces. The updated design increases weight capacity to support single extra-large and ultrawide 21:9 displays, as well as dual displays up to 98 inches with optional accessories.

Chief said the expanded capacity allows integrators to standardize on a single mounting solution for corporate, education and public-space installations as display sizes continue to grow.

The Tempo system is designed as an integrated mounting and storage solution. Each configuration includes a display mount, a universal video bar mount and front covers made of PET felt or optional lockable wood doors. The unit also provides storage space for small AV devices, with two 15-inch by 10-inch Lever Lock panels offering 2RU of rack storage, along with an integrated cable management channel.

Installer-driven enhancements include adjustable cabinet depth and lateral shift capability, enabling integrators to work around baseboards, floor obstructions and other architectural constraints without custom fabrication. Chief said these features are intended to reduce on-site adjustments while preserving a centered installation.

The Tempo Floor Support Mount is available in light and dark finishes to align with modern interiors. Optional accessories include a lockable wood door kit designed to match Middle Atlantic furniture colorways, as well as the Middle Atlantic PD-715SC-NS power strip for integrated power distribution.
