Cleerline Launches New Multistrand MTP Patch Cords

The Cleerline Technology Group announced the introduction of multistrand MTP patch cords built with industry-leading SSF fiber.
The SSF MTP patch cords are built with Cleerline’s SSF glass, which, unlike traditional fiber, SSF features a polymer coating that increases bend tolerance and long-term reliability while eliminating the need for armored construction.
“We recognized the need for more durable MTP and MPO cables in the market,” said Ryan
Prentice, President of Cleerline. “In multistrand cables, if a single fiber is compromised during
installation or handling, the entire assembly must be replaced. SSF ensures that won’t happen.”
The patch cables are designed to maintain optical performance even under tight bends, making installation in space-constrained environments easier.
Cleerline said the flexibility of SSF glass makes the cables well-suited for mission-critical applications where uptime, resilience and simplified handling are essential.
All Cleerline cords feature US Conec Elite MTP connectors, providing full compatibility with standard MPO connectors. This is designed to enable easier installation and reduced insertion loss.
The SSF MTP cables are available in 8-, 12- or 24-fiber OM3, OM4, and OS2 constructions. They are available in UPC and APC polishes, and in both male and female constructions.
