Digital Signage Federation Opens 2026 With Sold-Out Austin Event

The Digital Signage Federation (DSF) kicked off its 2026 calendar with a sold-out Mix & Mingle event in Austin, Texas, bringing together industry professionals for education, networking and strategic planning.
The event coincided with the first board meeting of the newly seated DSF Board of Directors. During the meeting, board members discussed membership growth, refining event strategy, increasing end-user engagement and modernizing the organization’s education initiatives. The board also advanced plans for a new DSF Awards program that will focus on individuals, real-world impact and measurable outcomes rather than traditional entry-based recognition models. Additional details are expected in the coming months.
The Austin program featured presentations from Creative Realities and the Dallas Cowboys, who shared insights on building scalable digital experiences that extend from in-venue environments to broader platforms. A separate session included updates from Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), highlighting technology and innovation trends influencing the next phase of digital signage.
Following the educational sessions, attendees participated in a networking reception that drew representatives from across the digital signage ecosystem, including hardware manufacturers, content management system providers, integrators, consultants and end users. An informal after-party with live music extended discussions beyond the formal agenda.
The Austin gathering marks the first of three Mix & Mingle events planned for 2026. Additional events are scheduled for Washington, District of Columbia, and the Bay Area.
The kickoff event also reflects the organization’s evolution in recent years. After the close of the Digital Signage Experience (DSE), DSF expanded its regional networking efforts, positioning itself as a vendor-neutral industry association focused on education, advocacy and community engagement.
The Digital Signage Federation is an independent, not-for-profit organization representing the full digital signage ecosystem, including network operators, integrators, hardware and software providers, content creators and service firms. Governed by an elected volunteer board and supported by member-led committees, the organization delivers regional events, educational programming and research initiatives designed to support industry growth.
