Kwikset Announces New Two-Point Locking Handleset
Kwikset announced the release of the Kwikset Peralta, a two-point locking handleset. This expands the company’s portfolio of dual-lock handlesets, adding to the existing Kwikset Montara two-point locking handleset.
The company said Peralta features a clean and minimalist profile and pairs the two-point locking system with Kwikset’s SmartKey Security. The product is available in satin nickel, matte black and satin brass.
“The introduction of Peralta gives homeowners a modern option that aligns with today’s design preferences,” said Amanda Archer, group manager of product marketing at Kwikset. “Homeowners should not have to choose between the right style and the right level of protection. With Peralta and Montara, there are two distinct design paths, modern and traditional, that offer dependable two-point locking and the trusted security that defines our brand.”
Kwikset said Montara serves as the traditional counterpart and caters to customers who want a familiar and timeless style.
Both products feature two locking points, with a keyed deadbolt and keyed grip. The company said the products can be easily installed with a screwdriver and are designed to fit any standard door. Peralta features a fully adjustable throughbolt and Montara has a three-position bolt.
