Legrand | AV officially announced that its Luxul professional AV networking switches are now supported within the Utelogy cloud-based AV management platform. The integration was developed through the Utelligence Alliance Partner Program.

Legrand | AV said that the integration reinforces its commitment to open AV infrastructure and aims to ensure that the company’s networking solutions work within the management environments that integrators and operators rely on.

“The network is no longer background infrastructure in a commercial AV environment. It’s part of the system,” said Steven Hoenig, senior director of portfolio expansion program management, Legrand | AV. “Luxul is purpose-built for that role, delivering commercial-grade switches designed for how integrators actually deploy and manage technology. Supporting Utelogy means our customers can bring that networking layer into the cloud management workflow they’re already familiar with. That’s what open architecture delivers in practice.”

The company said that the Luxul switches are designed to meet the requirements of commercial AV deployments and for professional AV installations across corporate, education and government spaces.

Through the new integration, integrators and operators can now monitor and manage Luxul AV networking switches directly within the platform alongside other AV devices. Key features include port monitoring with per-port link state, transmit and receive rates and PoE status, updated every 15 to 30 seconds, as well as live PoE power tracking, health and diagnostic data and support for Utelogy’s Active, Standby and maintenance operational modes.

The Luxul integration builds on the multi-year Utelligence Alliance Partner Program that recently expanded platform coverage to include Middle Atlantic PDU and UPS solutions and Vaddio conferencing systems. Legrand | AV said that adding Luxul AV networking switches extends the collaboration to the network layer.
