LEWITT has announced Wave Next, created in partnership with Elgato. LEWITT said the product brings creator audio to the next level, furthering the company’s integrated ecosystem that allows for studio-quality audio for streams, podcasts and content creation.

“With Wave Next, we are aiming to combine the best of both worlds, the pro-audio and the creator audio world, for seamless audio workflows,” said Roman Perschon, CEO of LEWITT.

LEWITT has been working on the Wave FX processor, which is a custom chip. It is designed to optimize signal paths, allowing users to shape their sound directly on the devices. Users are able to accomplish this via a DSP-based effects suite including Low-Cut, Expander, Voice Tune, Compressor and EQ. Similar to other products, such as the CONNECT 2 audio interface, the company said it is impossible to clip the input due to intelligent limiting.

Pairing the Wave Next with the Elgato Wave hardware allows users to insert VSTs directly via the Wave Link software. This creates a low-latency path between the hardware and the FX signal chain, which gives users a single microphone output with a fully processed signal that can be sent to any application, including streaming software.

The Wave FX processor can be found in the Wave:3 MK.2, the Wave XLR MK.2, the XLR Dock MK.2 and the Wave XLR Pro.
