LG Enables Dolby Atmos FlexConnect on Select 2025 LG OLED TVs via Software Update
LG announced that the company is enabling Dolby Atmos FlexConnect on 2025 LG OLED G5, C5 and CS5 TVs through a software update. The update allows customers to use Dolby Atmos without need for a soundbar as well as add to their audio systems.
The announcement follows the successful debut of the LG Sound Suite at CES 2026 and the receipt of 16 “Best of CES” awards.
The company has released a software update for LG 2025 OLED G5, C5 and CS5 TVs, which enables Dolby Atmos FlexConnect and direct connection to LG Sound Suite M5/M7 wireless speakers and the W7 subwoofer.
Users can now create up to 22 configurations through a combination of M5/M7 speakers and the W7 subwoofer when an LG TV is used as the lead device with Dolby Atmos FlexConnect. The M5 and M7 speakers can alternatively function as standalone Wi‑Fi speakers for 24-bit/96kHz lossless music playback. The heart button on the speaker allows users to start spotify instantly.
The LG Sound Suite previously supported up to 27 configurations with the H7 soundbar as the lead device. The updated system supports up to 28 configurations with H7 as the lead advice and up to 22 with a Dolby Atmos FlexConnect-enabled LG TV. Up to 50 configurations are supported with the complete Sound Suite system.
