Here’s What Sonos Showed at CEDIA Expo 2026

THIS IS A PROMOTED POST

Sonos has had a big month. At the end of August/early September, the company announced a fleet of updates, including Sonos 27, the latest version of its audio operating system. The idea is this new update will bring features that expand its open platform and adaptability.

Right after that announcement, the company exhibited at CEDIA Expo. Here is what I learned from spending some time in their booth. I learned about Sonos 27, the company’s commitment to the channel, plus I got the scoop on some of their latest products. Let’s walk through those together,

First of all, Sonos 27. Among other things, this allows users to utilize the AI platform they prefer to help control the Sonos audio in their homes. But that’s just the beginning. Sonos also introduced something called Sonos Fabric. This is a system that allows Sonos products to more easily sense and adapt to each other. To learn more about these updates (plus to learn more in-depth information about the Sonos Amp Multi), I sat down with Casey Clemens to talk about what these updates really do for the user and the channel.

Now, let’s walk through products. Since we talked about the Amp Multi in the interview, let’s start there. The Sonos Amp Multi is an amplifier with eight independently configurable 125-watt outputs. You can arrange these however you want across four audio zones. So, the CIs don’t need a bunch of individual Sonos Amps anymore. This also allows the integrator to have greater control over the individual zones. Learn more by watching the video below.

Next up, we checked out the Beam Ultra. This is a sound bar, a new iteration of the Sonos Beam. This product includes nine speaker drivers (including front-facing and upward-facing drivers). According to Sonos, it creates a 7.1.2 listening experience (seven ear-level channels, one deep bass channel and two height channels). (Big shout-out Dolby Atmos.) Find out more about the Beam Ultra below.

My last stop at the Sonos booth was to check out the latest headphones, the Ace Ultras. Some of you might remember the Sonos Ace. This new model includes “better bass, clearer music and Active Noise Cancellation.” The most impressive feature, however, is the TV Audio Swap, which allows for easy audio switching from headphones to a Sonos sound bar. However, there is also now an option for easy switching to a compatible non-sound-bar speaker.

Learn more here.

That’s all for now from my walkthrough of the Sonos booth. I’ll be sure to keep an eye on more releases and updates. I have a feeling we’ll be hearing more from them this year or early next year.
